I have been taking lyrica for some time now...it has been in capsule form. I went to a new pharmacy and now it is a little white pill......is it still lyrica. It is white with the number 10 on the back the front has a line in the middle ( like a line you would cut it in half with or something ) someone please tell me if it is lyrica before I have to start taking it. Thank you ## I am not finding any Lyrica/Pregabalin listed in tablet form. All the listings I am finding for it are capsules. Have you contacted the pharmacy to double check? That's what I would do, if it were me, to make sure that I didn't receive the wrong medication. ## I think you should take these tabs back to the pharmacy fir positive ID before taking them. Pharmacists can make mistakes. A friend of mine was gi...

I have cryptogenic liver disease. It has been looking well for several years. Will lyrica damage it any further? ## It is hard to say, most medications are processed by the liver and long-term use of them could cause damage. Have you discussed this with your doctor or pharmacist? ## i even had no idea that i even had a liverproblem it came out in a catscan that was to investigate my back... so this is new i have a apptm with a liverdoctor 2 weeks from now... ## I can't say I know the answer to this but when I asked my Pain Specialist if it will affect my liver, he told me it is not assimilated in the liver, it is filtered in the kidneys. Someone on the other site told me I was misinformed but this is what my Specialist told me, if you can't believe him, who can you believe? Ask ...

I am going to a reunion on nov.11th.and i take 900mg.of neurontin and 225mg.of lyrica per day, for 3 months.if I want to drink 5-6 beers at reunion could I stop taking these drugs for 2 days and get it out of my system, so I can safely drink at my reunion ## You can do that, if you wish, but you should consult with your doctor, first. Alcohol can also have a detrimental effect on some medical conditions, so you need to be certain it is safe for you to drink it. Are you taking them for pain or some other condition? In the case of these medications, you are warned against using alcohol, because it can aggravate the side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and CNS depression. ## If your same PCP is giving you Neurontin and Lyrica then he needs his credentials looked over. I had horrible sides effects with Lyrica. Anxiety Attacks, Panic Attacks, Rapid Pulse, Suicidal thoughts, Pressure Headaches, Thought I was finally going crazy. Stopped taking 1 month ago, beginning to feel like my old self. Saw 3 doctors during this time and no one suspected the Lyrica ## Very odd, as these are prominently warned about in all Lyrica literature. ## I looked on Pzifer's wed site for side effects and the one's I experienced were not listed. Nor were there any warnings to this effect. That is why I kept taking it. Then I began to read websites and peoples actual experience and found common links. I only last night read this website and found the good and bad replies ## One thing that you need to know is that the side effects listed in the common monograph, like the...

I'd be on the fence about it as well if I had to consider it. My mom has actually been on it for almost a year now, only using it as needed for nerve pain; yet still seems to experience a lot of psychological/emotional side effects with it. There are also a few discussion threads here that you may want to have a look at before jumping the gun with i...

I am taking Lyrica of 150 twice daily & feeling really dizzy & like a drunk person. I cannot even walk properly. The thing is that the pain is still there. ## Lyrica can cause those types of symptoms as side effects. Learn more Lyrica details here. And this isn't actually an analgesic that will relieve pain immediately, it can take 4 to 6 weeks for this to reach its full effects in your body and to see if it works for you. However, with those side effects, it may not be the right medication for you to take and you should look into your other treatment options. Is there anything else I can help with? ## When I started Lyrica @ 75mg 3x /day, I felt exhausted but relieved that I could deeply sleep for the greater part of 3 days, only getting up for bathroom & to eat, if my ...

My fiance was in a car accident on December 3, 2013. Following the accident, he had extreme back pain, but nothing showed up on an X-Ray. For some reason, that we couldn't really understand, his doctor prescribed him Lyrica (100mg, 3x/day). He has never been on any medication like this -he is 26 years old. Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. He was on Lyrica for about a month, before he started developing serious stomach pain. The center of his abdomen would hurt so bad that he would be doubled over in excruciating pain. This was joined with extreme nausea and lightheadedness, along with cold chills. His doctor ordered a CT Scan to look at his gallbladder, and it was normal. Last Wednesday we were in the ER with this pain, and they ordered an X-Ray, as well as a...

I have been on Lyrica about 4 months. I also take a long list of other meds for neuropathy. I have had some weight gain, confusion, and forgetfulness, a lot of the same symptoms as MS. Sitting home waiting on disability was worse on me than anything the meds could do. Because of Lyrica I am still able to work a 40 hr week. Before, I was in so much pain I didn't want to do anything. I've had great results. Pfizer Connection to Care Program can help with meds for people with no insurance. ## JT. I too have neuropathy(idiopathic)and am currently disabled. I took this drug for 4 days only and stopped it because I started to have very bad side effects. These are the side effects I have had: -nausea -diarhea -short of breath -problems sleeping -loss of appetite -started to be depressed -fatigue -numbness, tingling, crawling skin on my legs and arms I have stopped this poison 7 WEEKS ago and the side effect are slowly diminushing! It totally screwed up my summer. It was complete hell for me! The worst thing that makes it even more frustrating is that my physician and pharmacist do not believe that this drug can give these side effects for that long even after quiting. ## I quit a month ago, and I still have shortness of breath(air hunger), and severe itching, especially on my back. ## I feel like all meds are poison and I looked up some thin...

I have sever numbness in hands and feet and swolleness. It's scary! I ran out one time with out getting refill, though I'd just stop it and start another tx. Well very wrong. I got so sick. I was having withdrawels and I had to get back on it. At the time it was worth getting back on it quickly to feel better. Plus the other side effects hadn't kicked in yet and not so severely. AARP is not an organization looking out for seniors and getting savings on drugs. AARP should have the following information at their fingertips and I have brought it to their attention in 2 separate emails. Pfizer has revised their patient income limit. The new limits are $47,080 annualy for a single person. If your income is below that level you can get drugs like Celebrex, Lyrica and others for FREE. Previously, my prescription for Lyrica and Premarin put me in the donut hole by March. Now, since I get them FREE directly from Pfizer I am nowhere near the donut hole. Pfizer is a great company looking out for seniors. I cannot find my medicine for 4 days. I have looked and looked. This house is so big 3 stories high and so much stuff around. I hid them and cannot remember, should I call . my dr. and tell them what happened? I really don't want them to think I'm lying because it would cause some as trouble. I am getting sick an very upset. What should I do? ## If you believe some one has stolen your medication call the police. They will write a report then you take it to the Dr who prescribes the medication. I hope this helps. ## @rocky, In the case of it not being stolen and simply misplaced, I think it would be best to call your doctor first and maybe try to explain what happened in the most honest way possible. I started Lyrica in Nov. 2007. Two months later my feet went numb and they never recovered. It is 24 hours a day. My neurologist blamed it on my MS but I still can't believe that, as I've brought up the topic even with a top MS specialist. However, I've said over and over that MS does NOT occur bilaterally, simultaneously. It's impossible and doing so would completely contradict a symptom widely known. So, I've researched until I have about had enough. Today, my endocrinologist suggested I look at my medicines. Over the past years I have tried to eliminate and return to them. There are two that I haven't touched, one is Lamictal, the other is LYRICA. The reason I'm here is because, a year after my numbness started, I began having the most godawful exhaustion ...
