I fell and damaged 6 disc in my spine. I had surgery on 2 disc and was given hydrocodone apap which was yellow with a V on one side and 3601 on the other side. I was later given the same prescription, but the pill was white and had IP 110 on it. The yellow stopped the pain with no side effects. The white makes me feel drugged and nauseous. What is the difference? I have also be give a 7.5 of the same medication. It is white with U02 on it. It makes me feel the same way as the white 10/325 does. Who are the manufacturers? Please help!!! ## Hello, Marie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. I have been taking hydrocodone-APAP 10 / 325 as a generic for NORCO 10 325 for chronic pain, but recently my pharmacy changed the generic medication from a white tablet simply marked 'M367' on one side to a yellow tablet marked with a semi cursive 'V' on one side, and the number '36/01' on the other. The yellow tablets do not seem to work as well; as if maybe they are "slow", or "time released". Is this true? Is there a difference in these medications and how they work, or are released into my system? ## Hello, Caesar! How are you? No, these are both regular release tablets. However, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics can have fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient, so this one may be a little lower in dosage than the other ... ...

WHAT IS THE T FOR ON THE WHITE HYDROCODONE ACETAMINOPHEN 10-325 BY WATSON THIS IS 10-325 T I RECENTLY CHANGED FROM YELLOW 10-325MG TABS TO WHITE ONES I AM NOT CRAZY BUT THE WHITE ONES ARE NOT REALLY HELPING AS WELL WHY IS THAT ## Hi jen, Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets. They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color. The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the ... ...

Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Bluecat! How are you? My pill for hydrocodone 10/325. Is white, oblong and had 3601*v imprinted on it. Just got it from Walmart. Is this the correct pill? New white Watson 853 10/325 problem - What is going on!?

Hello all, I am a longtime chronic pain sufferer. I have taken opiates for pain for over 10 years. I recently got a prescription filled (from a well known pharmacy chain in the U.S.) and I was given these new Watson 853 white (not yellow) hydro 10/325 pills. I wanted to ask the forum here if any of you have had the same experience with them as I have. I know there are some very smart people with advanced chemistry knowledge here that may have delved deeper into whats going on with these things. They are ineffective for me. I take hydrocodone 10-.325 I take yellow color with a v on one side,is yellow good strength or is there stronger colors? ## The strength is determined by the amount of active ingredients not the color of the tablet ## @crossfire, BL is right in a sense, however one thing to note is that some manufacturers do color coordinate specific tablets according to their dosage. For example, Qualitest's 7.5/325 Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen tablet marked with V 36 05 is orange in color, while the yellow 10/325 tablets made by Qualitest with V 36 01 are yellow in color. Furthermore, Qualitest's 5/325 Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen tablets with V 3604 are white. Nevertheless, 10/325 is maximum dosage that you'll find in any Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen combination tablet. So all other tablets ... ...
