Wellbutrin Is A Stimulant

Does anyone else take tramadol and wellbutrin together. I heard it can cause seizures. ## What you heard is right, regarding the risk of seizures. I started a suboxone program 6 weeks ago. My level dose is 8mg films/tid. I also take adderall ir 15mg/tid (that was prescribed by my psychiatrist, years ago). My sub dr. wants me to get off the adderall & I agree. So he’s started me on bupropion xl/150mg; which, I started today. Took it this morning, along with all my other meds. I was told the bupropion xl works similar to adderall? As far as increasing dopamine receptors, with a slight stimulant & eventually help the brain function without using such harmful & addictive medication. I was receiving from Walgreens Bupropion 150mg SR which were green tablets imprinted M U12. Best medication I have ever been prescribed because it also acted as a stimulant therefore I no longer needed to sleep during the day. But after receiving the latest refiill I noticed I was again exhausted each day and needed to sleep. Later realized Walgreens gave me different tablets...a purple tablet imprinted S on one side and 525 on the other side. Walgreens said the purple tablet was exactly the same as the green tablet and it was FDA approved. What does FDA really mean? That the ingredients, the amount of each ingredient, and the quality of each ingredient is EXACTLY the same from one manufacturer to the next? Walgreens wouldn't return my money. I am experience severe insomnia with contrave. I've just started my second week and I'm getting frustrated because I don't feel any difference in my appetite. My dr. Started my dosage at 1pill twice daily; so I've been on 3 pills now for a day. I really hope I start feeling some decrease in appetite soon. I am beginning to feel frustrated. ## Don't feel frustrated, have you started a diet or exercise plan with contrave also? If not, I suggest you at least start a diet. Also one of the main ingredients in contrave is bupropion, which is generic for Wellbutrin, Zyban etc.. It has been known to cause insomnia, restlessness, frustration and depression.
