The white new norcos do not work, and I am back spending half my life in bed. Why is is they break in half so easily? The yellow ones couldnt be broken by hand. Who can we call? The DEA? ## Hi allie, It seems like a lot of patients have been experiencing problems with the Norco made by Actavis (formerly known as Watson). Apparently from what I understand, after Watson was bought out, Actavis made some "unnecessary" changes within the inactive ingredients, causing them to not be nearly as effective as their yellow predecessor. If you want to put in a complaint, I would suggest filing a report with the FDA under their MedWatch program, which can be reached at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm Maybe if enough people report similar problems they will consider making changes. But ...

Hello - I got my prescription refilled for Norco 539's, but I have always had the 853's with Watson on them. Some key differencws are the new ones are very chalky and can be broken easily while the 853's are much harder and break with a snap not a crumble. Also it's easy to scratch the norco 539 off of the face. Please let me know if anyone one has any experience with these and if they could be bad? Thanks ## How soft and crumbly a pill is depends on the inactive ingredients that the manufacturer has chosen to use. The FDA has a list of inactives which are classified under: generally considered as safe, and manufacturers can use whichever they wish from that list. These are ingredients that are considered safe for human consumption and to not have an effect on the effica...

I've found it difficult to get this across because the line being towed by pharmasists and drug companies is a disciplined one.. You might get an honest answer from an independently owned pharmacy pharmasist.. But the truth is there are in many cases huge differences in generics and brands.. Ask yourself why a brand is $150 to the gen. $4.00..?? What confuses me is why isn't the public at large more sure of this crooked racket.. I've got nerve damage and have been on Norco for years. This is a great drug to hold up as an example of the nastiness being practiced. Now you won't find wide ranging discrepancies in heart meds or blood pressure meds but you absolutely will within the opioid and benzo family of meds. If you really want the truth ask your doctor, they know.. Tha...

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I am looking for direct help or guidance to procure Norco 10/325. I have been getting nowhere and my medical records only stretch back two months, so I am having difficulty getting a prescription. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. ## The biggest problem you are having may be due to the fact that you are trying to obtain a specific medication, along with questions as to why your medical records only go back 2 months. Most doctors will look at those two factors and immediately find them suspicious, as they are commonly the signs of a drug seeker. Don't you have an established regular doctor? ## I have a family practice doctor, but I have not been to her in a while. It makes sense that it would look suspicious. Do you have any other advice r...

I got a prescription for generic norco and it has watson 853 imprinted on it. I was wondering if I am getting the correct medication or if I am being ripped off at this pharmacy? It is yellow. ## white round ww 2410 ## What is a round, off white or very light yellow pill with M 89 imprinted on it? ## Watson 853 is indeed a generic for Norco. It contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. No listing for WW 2410, sorry. M 89 is Meloxicam 15mgs, a generic for Mobic. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. ## Is watson 853 indeed 10mg hydrocodone with 325 mg of tylenol? ## Is an oval small red pill with the markings KALI 083 a norco? ## Ron, KALI 083 is Acetaminophen 325 mg + Tramadol 37.5 mg, which is generic for Ultracet. ## Watson 853 - Yes, generic Norco...I have been getting it for a few...

I have been on Norco for years . I have used it in conjunction with Roxicodode with great sucess. Now that I have switched to the white version I am having serious problems controling my pain. I don't believe they just removed the dye. This white Norco has become a placebo falling far short of the results I once had. Now I am in scramble mode to find a replacement for the old yellow Norco. Walgreens has told me they have had several calls with other pain patients suffering from the new White Norco. Obviously Watson drug has altered the Norco to increase profits at the patients expense. How surprising. I will update fellow sufferers of the new bad White Norco with an alternative as soon as my Pain Clinic can finda replacement. My pharmacist that I have known for years due to chronic pain from cancer/severe spinal injuries and a totaled knee, told me last week that it is the DEA that has created the change in ALL pain meds. I have been on Watson Norco for 10 years and now I am in severe withdrawal with actavis buying out Watson. It is unbearable and my pharmacist said that people will DIE because of not being forewarned or informed ahead of time. This is all due to the people that use the drugs recreationally; and whatever else they do has ruined it for us real patients. We all know the DEA is like God and they don't even care about us real patients that have medical records, etc. I have been suffering for over a month now and my pain doc is on an extended vacation. Thank goodness for my pharmacist at leas...

I get a script every month for Norco 10/325, and the pharmacy had the Watson yellows. Then around May or so the pharmacy had a different labs' Norco. They said that all the Watson yellows had to be taken off the market. The next month they had Watson again, only they were white. I don't care what color, but today i happen to ask the question into the cyber space and see all these answers, and they are the same as the pharmacy told me give o rtake a rumor. BUT, my friend just said he is getting the yellows at one pharmacy here in San Bernardino, they have had them all along and they just got some last week. I dont know what to think of this. It technically was his friend who got the pills and , well gave him one for a headache. I am suspicious btu don't know who to suspect! h...

The new white Norco by Actavis does not work as well as the Yellow Norco by Watson did. With these white ones I also experience the same bad side effect as other generic Norco which is severe migraine headaches. At times I forego taking the pain meds out of fear for the migraine I know that will follow. Actavis obviously changed the formula. Does anyone have an idea what inactive ingredient could cause the migraines? ## Hello, Heidi! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It's difficult to say, since everyone is different, so trying to figure out what's causing you the problem would be guess work. It might be due to the medication, itself. Headaches are a possible side effect of narcotics, in some people that take them. It is listed in the databases...

I have been prescribed Watson brand Norco for years. Recently I was given this same drug made by a different manufacturer (Mallinckrodt). This formulation gave me headaches, cramps, hives and I'm vomiting. Why? ## Hi Lee, Whenever you switch manufacturers of the same drug, there's almost always going to be a difference in inert ingredients (binders & fillers) that make up the composition of the pill. Some people are more sensitive (or allergic) than others to these changes and that in itself may be a culprit for possible side effects. Something else worth noting is that different binding agents can affect bioavailability, which in turn means you get more or less of the actual active ingredient, potentially bringing about an onset of withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately, determ...

What Is Better: Watson Lorcet 10 Or Norco10/325 - And What's The Difference? ## If the dosage is the same, then the only difference is who has manufactured it. Both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Are there any other questions? ## my doctor had me on lorcet 10/650 and change to lorcet 10/325 what's the different are they the same?I had three back surgery ## The only difference is the amount of acetaminophen contained in each pill. The 10/650 dose contains 650 mg's of acetaminophen and the 10/325 dose contains, you guessed it, 325 mg's. He had to switch because the FDA does not allow doses of acetaminophen over 500 mg's per pill, in any pill, w...

what pharmacys other than walgreens carry the watson brandof norco10/325 ## Hello, Joel! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of which pharmacies carry a medication from any given manufacturer that I can refer to for you. Have you tried at your other local drug stores? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## HEB carries the yellow Watson brand. Just wondering if the g037 is the same as Watson 10/325. Are they gonna have the same effect as them? ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Tris Pharma and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I came across a yellow, oval pill with watson 353. What is this pill? ## its hydrocodone..750mg.. Similar to a vicodin or norco. ## Joe, not only is your post ridiculous, Hydrocodone does not even come in that high of a dosage. ## Watson 353 This is Pronolol 90mgs, a generic for the Beta-blocker Inderal. ## Yes it does come in that high of a dose. I've been prescribed it several times after surgery. Where are you getting your info? ## First of all hydrocodone does not come in 750 mg. You are thinking of 7.5 mg. There's 5 mg, 7.5 mg and 10 mg. Watson 353 on a yellow pill is hydrocodone/acetaminophen. Hydrocodone being 10 mg. Acetaminophen being 325 mg. Otherwise known as a Norco. These are amazing. High does of hydrocodone and low dose of acetaminophen. 10 mg is the most potent f...

Watson385 white tablet ## This contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic that's commonly known by brand names such as Norco, Lortab and Vicodin. (NDC 0591-0385). Inactive Ingredients: - Anhydrous Lactose - Croscarmellose Sodium - Crospovidone - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Povidones - Starch, Corn - Stearic Acid It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. An additional note I'd like to add is that as of 2013, the FDA has requested that the amount of Acetaminophen in all of these combination medications be lowered to a maximum of 325mgs, due to the dangers associated with organ damage and overdose toxicity. Some manufacturers have already begun to implement the ch...

THE 853 NORCO DOES NOT HELP MY PAIN AS WELL AS THE YELLOW TINTED ONES. PLUS THEY UPED THE PRICE DOUBLE. ## I used CVS for my prescriptions until last month, when I tried Walgreens to fill my script for Norco 10/325. When I saw they were white instead of yellow I thought I was given the 5/500 strength in error, since I knew those are white. I called Walgreens and was assured these Watson 853's were the exact same ingredients as the Norco 10/325. After taking my usual dosage, I was shocked to feel almost no relief....maybe 10% relief. After this happened, i went on the internet and read about others who had the same bad experience. Today when I got my new script I went back to Walgreens and told the pharmacy I wanted the other generic, NOT the Watson 853. They said that's the only...

I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. So last month i go to docs get scripts and go to walgreens to get my norcs, i get my pills and notice that they were white, So i take a couple and nothing, i take two more, nothing! So im stuck with them all month and everytime i took them nothing, Watson is now Activis or whatever, All i know is that they r not watson norcos, they might have the name and numbers but they r not the real deal. So this month i went to a different pharmacy that sells the qualitest yellow norcs with the v on them. They r waay better than the white watson/activis norcs. So from now on, i will get...
