blue oval shaped watson 540 on one side line through middle on other ## Watson 540 is 500 mg Acetaminophen w/ 10 mg Hydrocodone ## That is correct, thank you CJ! This is a generic for Vicodin, Lortab or Norco and I have some new details to add for anyone else seeking information on this tablet. The first is that due to the problems some people were having with the dyes in them, Watson is now changing some of their tablets to remove the dyes, thus as of April 2013, this one is now appearing on the market as a white tablet, but with the same marking and dosage. And the next snippet of information that needs to be added is that by request of the FDA, all of these combination prescription medications are being changed to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. This request w... ...

I have had these white Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-500 T. These are not as strong as the pinkor blue. A lot of powder on them. Still have pain while taking them. When one pill works better for some than others. I Cain 't understand that if that name brand pill would fix the problem at one a day but we have to take the generic taking more and still feeling the pain. Money is as so the root of all evil. Without this money people like me and a whole lot more feel this way to. Will never get well. The medicine does make you better. The generic will help along the way but no you won't get well. These are just my feelings I 'm not by know means trying to get anyone to question their Dr.. ## @Jeremy, I may be able to help shed some light on why a different brand of the same exact ... ...

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Found.. White pill imprint Watson 540.. 10 Mg...? Usually they are blue:10mg/500 hydrocodone/acephatamine Different color same imprint? Same thing or not? Usually they have different imprints or why change color..? ## It's interesting you mentioned that because "most" of the images I found have been oval blue pills. I did however come across a legitimate photo of the one you're describing (elliptical, white, imprinted with WATSON 540) at: rxlist.com/vicodin-hp-drug/patient-images-side-effects.htm NOTE: the dosage of the white pill is confirmed to be the same as the blue pill (500mgs of Acetaminophen + 10mgs of Hydrocodone). Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories, Inc. Although the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, it would definite... ...

I was taking Watson hydrocodone acetaminophen 5mg 500,the doctor switched me to Watson 10 500 ,the white ones, but for some reason the 5s worked better than the 10s.anybody know why this is? ## Hello, Jim! How are you? No, there is nothing available to let anyone know why this is happening. It is claimed that they only removed the dye from them. Are you sure that the dosage is the same? Because as of January 1, 2014 the ones with these higher amounts of Acetaminophen are no longer available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I took them to 3 different pharmacies and they all said they were 10 500s,1 pharmacist said his wife was saying the same thing.I ... ...

are the yellow tabs stronger than the blue tabs?? ## The oval, blue tablet marked Watson 540 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The yellow, oval marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, since the Acetaminophen tends to improve how well the narcotic Hydrocodone works, the blue tablet would be stronger. This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Two weeks after I started taking the new white watson 10 mg lortab I began to develop blisters on the back of my hands and wrist as well as noticing that they are not near as strong. I used to take 1/2 blue pill in the morning for years but now I need two whole white ones to be able to move around. Sucks!!! I also developed white bumps on my ankles and swelling in my left foot but not painful or any itching. anyone else? ## Hi, Jo! Sorry about the problems you're having… And yes, there are plenty of other people that have posted about experiencing odd side effects from them and stating that they don't seem to be as effective. What did they replace it with they could be causing my issues? blisters, white bumps and swelling ## Hi jo, Sorry to hear about those strange side effects you've been experiencing recently. It sounds to me like there's something drug manufacturers are not telling us. A lot of the time, certain side effects can also be associated with all the binders and fillers they put in each... ...
