Hi, I am taking diclofenac 50mg once a day (night) for about 3 months. Is it alright if I continue to take it at this dose for another month before I see my specialist again? Will it cause me any harm? If I don't take it daily, it will cause me unbearable pain the whole day. Is this true at this dosage? ## Hi Roger, From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Diclofenac ranges from 25-50 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day or 75 mg orally twice a day. Diclofenac Extended-release dosages are usually administered at 100 mg orally once a day. A number of webpages also make a point of mentioning that the maximum daily dose of Diclofenac is: 225 mg; or 200 mg if you're taking the extended release version. I have been taking diclofenac sod 75 mg ec tab twice a day for about a month, for arthritis in my ankle. It helps early in the day, but does not last until the next pill is due. Same with the one I take in the evening, and when I get up in the morning I can barely walk. What is the difference between diclofen pot 50mg tab mylan and diclofenac pot 50mg? I've been taking the latter of these for years however this time the script showed up as the diclofen pot 50mg mylan. Should I be concerned?
