I took 10 4 milligram bars and have a drug test in 4 days. My question is, can I beat it if I run a lot and drink tons of water and juice? And yes I already know the risk and that it's stupid taking them knowing I had a test, but give me some straight answers on milligrams in the body, the more the less you take, etc. Thank you for your time. ## I have been on prescription Xanax before and I know that it stays in your system for at least 2 weeks after you take it. There is a basic test that just looks for the presence of the drug and if they use that one, they would just see that you took it. However, there are more in-depth tests that can show the levels of the drug in your body. I have been taking 4-7mg of Xanax almost daily for the past month or so. Been through Ambien, Lexapro (which I hated and stopped taking after two weeks). Xanax is the one thing I have found that helps with the nights where I get anxiety and can't sleep. It just so happens that during this time I have contracted some sort of mild urinary infection, so at my appointment today my doctor had me do a urine test, as I was expecting. Before going in I drank an iced cup full or cranberry juice, took a multivitamin, 3-5 cups of water, a red bull, and a whole gatorade. When I pissed, my urine was more or less completely clear. I took 0.5 mg of xanax on Nov. 30th and had a drug test Dec. 26. I generally have a pretty slow metabolism. I will find out my results in a couple of days, but for some reason am nervous it'll show positive. Regardless of metabolism rate, after 26 days, am i safe? :0/ ## You should be fine seriously but to double check but a home test

I take xanax I have for years. I try to watch what I take so sometimes I dont take what I am prescribed I take less and the doctor knows that because I refill late every month. When the gave me a urine screen they said it came back with no xanax present so they were going to give me a blood test to make sure I was taking it. I took a half a milligram 11 hours before my drug test and had taken a quarter of a milligram 3 hours before my drug screen. Will that show up in a blood test even if it didn't my urine? Xanax is one of the shortest acting bezos there is, if not the shortest. So please stop saying its in your system for more then a week; it is highly unlikely it would show up after a week. Other bezos; like valium, yes, it can show up for weeks, or month if you are a chronic user. So dont look at a chart and say oh benzos are detectable for 1-6 weeks; It makes a difference on what you take; xanax should be out fairly quick; in my experience, I would like to give it a week; but I have passed in the 48-72hr range; just don't push it. ## Standard scientific testing shows that all Benzodiazepines can be detected in urine tests for as long as 6 weeks, after last use. I am prescribed Xanax 6 mg a day. My son stole my entire prescription, I was left with 6 mg. I have to take a urine test Monday. Obviously I have to have my medication in my system. Can a medical lab detect a specific level of xanax in a urine test? Meaning how many u are taking if u are prescribed by your doctor..can medical lab urine test tell if u are taking the exact amount precribed or can it only detect that you are taking them and they are in ur system? ## If they are testing for benzodiazepines then yes, the amounts can be detected depending on when you took it? ## Yes, just like narcotics, even plain acetaminophen, labs can run a quantatative test and that will show approx how many milligrams you have in your system. I haven't used Xanax since Feb. 28. I used to take it a few times a week, approx. 2 bars when I took it. I have to start going to court ordered class, & have a possible random drug screen (urine) on the 20th of March. Is this enough time to be off the medication to have it out of my system? I didn't realize it could take up to 6 weeks for benzos to leave the system. I'm 5'3" and weigh approx. 105 lbs. I have a good metabolism.

I took half a Xanax bar Saturday at 10:00 PM ..is it possible that I passed my urine test for work that I took Monday at 8:00 am? Hello All! To give comment about the original question(How long does xanax stay in urine) I would like to give a personal experience. I took 1 mg of xanax on 3/12/11 and 1mg on 3/13/11. I dont use xanax a lot and prior to taking the pills I was last year. I had a urine drug test on 3/25/11. Approximately 12 days. REsults came to day and it was negative.Yay!!! My drug screening was from Quest Diagnostics and its pretty detailed because it was ordered from the Proffesional Board of Illinois ( Registered Nurse.) Hope this helps someone. I have been going crazy worrying about my drug test for days now. I took 2 bars of xanax throughout a span of for days, Sunday being the last day. I found out that I have to take a drug test for school and have it submitted to them by June 24th. The last day that I took xanax was May 25th. I am freaking out. I have read so many threads trying to ease my mind but it just makes me more scared. I know benzos can take from 1-6 weeks to not be detectable by a urine test.
