white round ## i found a pill with this information on it, can you id it? thank you kat ## That pill is Immediate Action Mucus Relief. It's 400mg of Guaifenesin (an expectorant), so it says on the bottle. Picked it up in a grocery store in Arizona. ## My 11 year old son found this in his bottle of omeprezole that came to us sealed from the factory. It is a little frightning that this ended up in his bottle. Wha could have happened had he taken it? I am very concerned. ## This is exactly what was posted by Jim, 400mgs of Guaifenesin, used to help relieve cold symptoms, such as cough and congestion. It is available over the counter, so my guess is the company makes and packages more than one type of OTC medication, which is very common and this one ended up in the wrong bottle by mist...

Ip 272. Is a generic for Bactrim DS. Treats all symptoms listed from other comments. The one thing everyone forgot to mention is that it also treats moderate to severe acne and cystic acne. Amazing how my skin cleared up since I have been using the drug. Remember to take In morning and night, preferably with food if you have a sensitive stomach, and plenty of water. I noticed after taking the drug for awhile that I did have joint pain, but other than that it works amazing.. ## @Fiat, It may help with acne as an off-label use, but the only problem I see that could stem from long term use is that, without having an actual infection to treat, this could create antibiotic resistance to the point where if you did have an infection it may end up becoming much more difficult to eradicate than ...

I found a round yellowish pill in my daughter's room and on one side it says "syntex" and the other had the number 272. Can you please tell me what it is? I can't find any credible information. Thank you. ## Hmmm, I wish I had a more detailed response for you at this point, but I am guessing that it is a foreign medication. The reason is because all prescription drugs manufactured in the U.S. are required to have unique imprint codes and are readily available in domestic databases. Either that, or it could also be an over the counter product - but I am leaning more towards a foreign medication because the manufacturer name Syntex 273 is reportedly Naproxen 375 mg, which is used for pain relief but it is not a narcotic. As far as the marking which you reported, nothing el...

I got this pill in 02/2013 can I still take it now 05/2014 ## Hello, Minnie! How are you? That's well over a year old, so they aren't going to be as effective, since they're expired and that creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. It would be best to dispose of them and get a new prescription. Is there anything else I can help with?

my doctor has told me to take two of the sulfamethoxazole-tmp twice a day, and I'm really feeling sick since I've taken the second one, is this not an awful high dosage to be taken. ## The dose of Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim largely depends on the type of infection you have and how severe it is. However, these pills you have marked "IP 272" are regarded as "double-strength tablets". For most infections, I found that the dosing schedule was one double strength tablet (800mg/160mg) every 12 hours for roughly 7-10 days; so if you feel like you're taking too much, I would suggest contacting your doctor about this concern. Some of these antibiotics have very harsh side effects and I don't blame anyone for wanting get off of them as soon as possible. ## I a...
