I've had chronic pain for fifteen years and been on many types of medications, opiate and non-opiate. When I changed insurance and couldn't see my regular doctor, I ran out of fentanyl patches and oxycodone. I had never abused my medication, but after going through a few days of horrible withdrawals, I became desperate and made the dumb mistake of trying H. That was three months ago and I'm too ashamed and embarrassed to attempt to try a new pain specialist. I did go to a suboxone clinic for about a week, but the pain was too unbearable and I went back to the dope. I have really bad veins, plus I'm not good at inj's. so I have bad bruises and marks. I want to get on legitimate pain meds, even methadone if that's all I can get. I can't go on like this anymore ...

I use no other types off oills and when I have tried nothing works I have a cool doctor but he wants me to go to pain management to deal with this help $$$$but not doc ## Where are you ? ## Fentanyl is the strongest narcotic for pain that is on the market, there aren't any stronger options for you. Your doctor is right, pain management is probably going to be your best bet, as they have better training as to what combination of medications, or what other therapies, might help someone in your situation. nt 16 ## This is not Fentanyl. It is 600mg Gabapentin, or name brand Neurontin. It is used for various types of seizure disorders, convulsions and nerve pain. Side effects include nausea, headache, drowsiness, among others. ## As I recall, this isn't even available in regular pill form, they have the lozenges, and the patches, and that is all that is available anymore that I can find listed. ## That's exactly right, except for the IV doses available in the hospital, nothing else exists. ## That is what I thought, I even did a search and double checked. As I recall they had trouble getting the dosage set properly and stabilized, so they were unable to make it into tablets. They had a problem with Demerol for years, before they finally had a breakthrough and discovered other ways ...

what is the difference between liquid and jelly types ## I'am on 75 mcg of fentanyl patch jelly form. I found when i used the other fentanyl patches with the glue all over them i would break out from the glue. So what is the difference between the patches and do they work as well. I was told to use a steroid nasal spray under the patch before applying it, but everyone i've asked has never heard of using the spray before applying patch. So i've decided to just stay with the jelly form. Has anyone else had this problem and do the patches work the same jelly patches versus the ones with glue all over them. I'm still not getting much relief anyway, i've had chronic pain for some time and i'm only 52 but due to all my health problems i really don't have a life any...

What doses do morphine patches come in and do morphine patches actually exsist. ## Hi. I know there is a strong opiod patch called Fentenyl. The available dose varies and I was told that this is the strongest form of opiod available. I was prescribed for a while and the patches last for 48-72 hrs before you need to change to a new one. Very easy to tale and I felt the least amount of paincompared to other types. I I've in V an ad a but I've read that Gentanyl with slight differences is in the USA as well. ## @Darby (original poster), I personally haven't heard of Morphine patches and do not think they exist. If they do make them, drug companies certainly aren't making any effort to market them. Post #1 had mentioned Fentanyl coming in the form of an opioid patch, and I b...

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008. Over the years my nerve pain has gotten a lot worse. The pain has gotten so bad that it's ruining my life. I cant walk due to my legs not working correctly and experiencing a loss of all balance. I have pain everywhere but it's the worst in my feet. My Dr. has me on 10 mg oxycodone for about 5 years now. I was on percocet prior but I worried about my liver with all the acetaminophen. My problem is I'm not sure if I have built a tolerance or if I should be taking more at a time but it's not doing much for me. My pain never goes away. The pills slightly take the edge off for about an hour. That's it! I have tried 3 different types and strengths of pain patches and they didn't do anything. I tried morphine with the sa...
