Teva Not Working

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA? ## You'd have to report any complaints to the FDA, at 888-INFO-FDA. However, there may not actually be anything to report. They do allow generic medications to differ from the name brands, in the amount of the active ingredient, by up to plus or minus 20%. This is considered an acceptable therapeutic window. For most people, these differences don't cause any problems, but if someone is sensitive to medications, it means that one with a slightly ...

I was taking Barr Dextroamphetamine Sulfate for 12 years. This medication was a miracle drug for me as it lowered my blood pressure, increased my focus, attention, and breathing. About three years ago, my medication "disappeared" without warning or notice. No one would tell me the truth until I found my drug at a pharmacy two hours away. After receiving the medication twice, the pharmacist said he could no longer get it for me because my $50 generic shot up to $500 overnight. I have been forced to try other generics, but none compared to Barr. Teva bought Barr, and I was able to get it periodically... except when the government planned a "shortage" three months ago. I received my medication, however, the whole 180 pills were ineffective. Before that, the other "Adder...

I have a morphine infusion pump that releases 21.474 mg daily continuous flow plus I can give myself a bolus of 1.50 mg up to 10 x a day making my daily level release of morphine 35.886/day continuous flow. I am so tired all the time. My doctor prescribed D-amphetamine salts XR 25 mg - 2 x/day but because (i've been taking this for a few years at slowly increased doses to get where I am now) they were a generic and did not work I asked him and my insurance company approved the change, he put me on 20 MG IR 2x/day brand name by Teva. I thought being the name brand Adderall (Teva) that even though a lower dose would work better. I could not have been more mistaken and now I am suffering trying to wake up at all. Someone please help me - is Teva the real Adderall? also how long does IR...

I was involved in a car accient last year and am now working with a Pain Manage clinic. I have had injections upon injections, epiderals, blah blah and now they belive it is a tear in my disc between L4 and L5. Needless to say VERY painful. The most recent visit has placed me on Oxy AGAIN. I acutally took myself off them a few months ago because the pain was not getting ANY less... actually the same if not worse regardless of how many or mg increase. At 20 mg 2 X day I said I am done and started to only take 1 them none. That was miserable... Switched Doctors.. told him all of this and what does he do .. BACK ON THE OXY.. I have found that Percocet 7.5/325 2 pills 3 X day work the best AND it I don't have bad pain I don't HAVE to take it. I am so frustrated and I have called the...

It's January 2019 and I have been using TEVA Clonazepam 1mg for over 10yrs. I was taking most days 1.5 mg until recently. I had been tapering. Recently due to major anxiety (death in the family & several other factors) it was increased to 2mg sometimes 2.5mg. Since mid. November 2018. Actavis doesn't work on me. My doctor has given me a prescription of TEVA diazepam 10mg 3 per day. It's not working. Anxiety builds up in 3hrs. Need to stabilize for a bit and then begin tapering. I do not use SSRI's nor alcohol. No other medications. Please, any advice? TEVA worked. ## I'm so sorry this happened to you. Teva messed us all up. It's possible that diazepam may not work for everyone, have you stabilized at all? ## Per call to TEVA on 4/1/19 they are considering bri...

I've been taking ambien generics; the white and the peach oval. They have no effects on me. Until about two months ago cvs was carrying Teva MZ2. It was the only one that worked for me like a charm. My doctor gave ambien c.r they don't work at all the Teva purple one southeast the ambien c.r..I asked why cvs stopped carrying those they said it s the pharmaceutical stop sending to cvs. I was frustrated because I'm tired of changing medicine. I'm like here we go back to the medication that doesn't work for me and it's ripping the health insurance off. I wish they would survey which ambien works for each individual who takes them and why. They arent working for them? And my doctor writes the name brand ambein cvs never carries it ever. I have no side effect with the...

I have been prescribed pantoprazole 40mg to take one hour before my evening meal. The pill is small, yellow in colour with no markings. It is manufactured by Teva UK. I have been taking this medication for 16 days now and I'm not sure whether it is working. The reflux, gas and nausea have mostly gone, yet I still feel a dull pressing pain in in my upper stomach area. It is not as frequent as before, but it is still present. Is this normal? Everything I read online says I should be cured by now but I know we are all different and my doctor has prescribed the pills for 8 weeks in total. Does it sometimes take a bit longer for the pain to leave or should I request a change to my prescription? thank you. ## I'm not sure what your read, but 16 days is kind of soon to expect it to wor...

I have been taking zolpidem 10mg for many years and all was perfect. Now i changed pharmacies and it's 10mg of Teva with the # 74 on it and I am up in 3 hours and cannot get back to sleep. ## Try zolfresh 5 mg. I get sleep with this for more than 5 hours. It is also suggested to get a Dr.'s advice. ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? First, Zolpidem can help someone fall asleep, but it doesn't mean they will always stay asleep, which is why the time released version was created under brand name Ambien CR, according to the NIH. Second, if you've been taking it for years, you may have built up tolerance to it, which can prevent it from working as well for you. The FDA explains that we eventually get used to any medication that we take regularly for a long period of time, and we...

We got a 90 day Rx from our mail order pharmacy of Teva 74, the round pills. We usually get the oblong Zolpidem pills. We feel that the round pills do not work and are having to take more than normal to do the job. Can you tell me why the round ones don't work, but the oblong do. ## Hello, Lori! How are you doing? There can be some slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic medication to another, so this one may be a little lower in it than the other, which could explain why it isn't working as well for you. Learn more Zolpidem details here. Usually, your body will adjust after a week or so, as long as the difference isn't huge. But, if the issue continues, you should consult your doctor, as you may have grown tolerant to this dosage. Is ther...

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD my doc prescribe me Ritalin the pharmacy gave me the genetic brand Methylphenidate 20mg ER (LA) caps Mfc Actavis. The first day it was ok, made me feel a little more energy, more focus, but also kinda jittery, the fallowing days I didn't even feel anything other than some anxiety and loss of appetite, I was supposed to take them for a month but after taking them for 15 days I decided they were not doing anything for me, except making me want to take Xanax (which I am also prescribed for anxiety) I normally don't take it unless I really need it and just tiny dosages. Anyways went back to my doc. Told him Ritalin wasn't working for me and I wanted to try Adderall; my doc prescribe me Adderall XR 25 mg capsules. I fill my scrip at Walgr...

Within the last year, I have noted a subtle but noticeable change with Teva's 30MG Adderall. The tablet is clearly smaller (in proportion) than it was before 2015 with slightly less potency. ## The size really depends on the excipients they choose to use in it, more commonly known as the inactive ingredients. A manufacturer can chance them, at any given time, which could naturally alter the size of a tablet. As to the potency, what types of changes have you noticed, when taking the Adderall? How long have you been taking this dosage? It is normal for your body to get used to the dosage of a medication, and with time, it will stop working as well for you. Adderall carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, i...

I was taking 150 ml of Bupropion SR by Teva for several years and it has stopped working for my depression. Has anyone been happy with the other generic forms of Wellbutrin? I am now trying one from Activis but just started it yesterday. ## Your body will get used to the dosage of any medication that you take for a long period of time and it will eventually become less effective. Thus, it's really doubtful that switching manufacturers will help. It's most likely that you need a slight higher dosage to get the same benefits as you did before from this medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? You can read more Wellbutrin details here. ## Please let me know how the Actavis generic is working for you. I have been taking the Watson generic for 2 years and liked it. Just n...

I have never been successful on the Aurobindo Venlafaxine. I have tried a combo of Teva (150mg) and Zylus (37.5 mg) for 30 days to great success. I want to take the generic version as the brand is over $1000 for 90-days, with insurance. I got the 30-day's worth locally at Publix to try it. Now I’ve received the 90-day prescription from the mail and it’s the Aurobindo brand. Could there be a difference? The one thing my dr is doing this time is she has increased the dosage by 37.5 mg. I don’t know if that is why it’s working or if it’s that it’s NOT the Aurobindo brand? I would greatly appreciate any opinions. ## How much difference is GENERIC FROM BRAND IN STRENGTH ETC? ## I'm not familiar with that brand of medication but I do know that every...

Pharmacy changed Losartan mfg on my prescription from Pack to Teva. Have been on it 3 weeks and my blood pressure is not being regulated. My blood work is all excellent - just had it done one month ago. Only thing different is the change in mfg. I know FDA requires same - but, it does not seem to be working. Anyone else having the same problem? ## Hello, ram162! How are you? Unfortunately no, they do not require generics to be the same. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, additionally they only have to prove that the ingredient is biologically equivalent and works in the body in the same way. And they do not have to measure against other generics, only against the...

I was prescribed this for a period of time and then there was some drug shortage and had to rotate between the numerous generics of Ritalin until it was available, some worked great and others were horrible and since generic focalin was approved under my insurance (TEVA 93 5277 10 mg white round pills) and my insurance has a mail order service and few people are on it so they have a rather abundant supply I switched back. Well, just like every other ADHD medication, even switching brands of the same drug, there is a week or two period of forcing myself to consume smoothies and whatnot but it is going on three weeks now and while it is working great in every other way, I had to give up my annual P90x round before summer because I am so weak that four push ups is rough. I find these E65 pills aren't working s well as the TEVA 2mg Clonazapam tablets. anyone else find this to be true? ## Hello, Joe! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, so this one may contain a slightly lower amount of the active ingredient, which could cause it to be less effective for you. How long have you been taking it? Since the differences are slight, it usually only takes a week or so, for your body to adjust. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
