Swimmers Ear

on vacation i caught a cold. week later felt good and went swimming in outdoor pool. could not get the water out of my ears. Hear that i should not have used a Q-tip.ENT cleaned out ears and put me on one week of prednisone 20mg 1x a day and Amox tr-k clv 875-125mg tabs twice daily and triamcinolone 55mcg nasal spray twice a day. My problem is that my ears are still clogged almost like wearing ear muffs. There was never any pain. How long before my ears are unblocked and should i continue to clean out earwax at home. This started in the pool on Jan 5th and doctor on Jan 9th. Follow up is on Jan. 17th. Also, any questions i need to ask my doctor? I went to the doctor yesterday for swimmers ear in both ears.The problem had started a day before.When I went to the Doctor I was managing pain very well with Naproxen. I was given 500 mg Ciproflaxcin oral 1 pill 2 x daily and ofloxacin otic solution 0.3% 10 drops each ear 1 x daily. There is absolutely no relief in my right ear. It is actually much worse than when I went too see the Doctor 34 hours a go.Very swollen inside ear and face around ear is swollen and hot to the touch. I can not hear out of this ear, extreme pressure feels like heat in my ear and sharp pain as well as throbbing. I slept all night with a heating pad on my ear.The left ear however, is much better. So far I have taken 4 of the pills and have used the drops 5 times. I called the doctor today and she ordered me 20...

I have swimmers ear and to make it better i have a bottle of neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates and hydrocortosone otic solution usp. I used it a couple times made my ear feel really clogged and over all just worse. My worry is that the liquids just being trapped in there and im adding more just making it worse anyone used this before and know?? Please help had the infection since sunday night ## Hello, Kylie! I am getting an on ans off ringing in my right ear that sounds like a sizzleing noise. I have been told that I have swimmers ear for years but try and keep some sweet oil to take care of the dryness. I must sleep on mt right side and press my ear into the pillow to block the noise so I can get to sleep........ ## Yes, there are some medications that can cause tinnitus. I came across these drops as follows - Ultra and Balance. Are they different or similar ? Which one you recommend ?
