Is Morphine100mg.SR dangerous ?, Can it cause an overdose if crushed or chewed by being released to fast in the bloodstream? Does it come with a warning? ## Yes, if someone isn't opiate tolerant and they crush or chew it, this dosage could cause an overdose, as it is a pretty high one. My husband and I are having a debate...I take 80mg of oxycontin SR three times daily. Does my narcotic blood level stay at a steady 80mg or 240mg daily? ## Well, it isn't going to say at any 'steady' level, because it's always going to vary somewhat, due to activity, fluid intake, what you eat and etc. But since the doses are split you essentially always have some processing out, when you're adding more, so you'd be looking at close to the 80mgs. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Hi Verity, I don't know how much help this will be to your debate, but from what I could gather, the apparent elimination half-life of oxycodone following the administration of OxyContin was 4.5 hours compared to 3.2 hours for immedi...

This pill is nasty. It is described as SR by the manufacturer (slow or sustained release). I have been taking Millen 4 x 20 per day with no problems. Was this pill dispensed as a mistake by the pharmacy or by the doctor. I took less than two and didn't get a wink of sleep. Markings are Sandoz peach, scored, 790, SZ or ZS. The bottle says SR. It has taken me so long to get to get to the combination of pills I am at that if I rock the boat, I am scared that the whole research of a group of safe pills will be in jeopardy. I can cut back on the Sandoz without a problem, no odd effects as described on the net, ## Just discovered that I have been wasting years -- and tasks undone -- by taking generic Ritalin manufactured by Sandoz (not time release). I was prescribed Palexia 50mg for a chronic neck problem. I had amazing results after all else failed. However, the Dr then gave me the SR meds when he renewed the script and I have unpleasant side effects, which I did not have on the original meds. (Not SR) They were prescribed as 1 a day. Do I have to take them every day like chronic meds or can I take them like pain tablets... when I need them? ## Hi Les - does it say anywhere on your prescription leaflet whether you are supposed to take your medication every day as a form of pain prevention, or whether you should simply take a dose as needed for pain? I've seen immediate release pills for breakthrough pain. Long acting (sustained release) pain meds are intended for around the clock pain relief. Are you familiar with the phrase ...

is voltaren sr the same as diclofenac ec ## Hello, Frank! How are you? No, they are not the same going by that. The SR stands for sustained release, meaning that it is a time released formulation of the medication, but the EC just means that it is enteric coated, to help prevent it doing damage to your stomach, but there is nothing that designates it as being time released. is there a difference in wellbutrin and wellbutrin 150mg sr tab actavissou? i was taking the regular wellbutrin then my new prescriptson is the tab sr. a round pale yellow pill. other coment said it causes sezures? ## Brandy, the "SR" means sustained release, meaning that you take a single larger dosage less often because it is gradually released in your body. There is a minor risk of seizures as a possible side effect of this medication - the chances of it are low but do increase with a higher dose. I'd say since you are starting this new dosage that you either make sure you're around others, or at least have your doc on speed dial to report any side effects. More details about this medication are available at: Hope this helps and good luck!

What does the SR stand for and what are the difference in 5mg hydrocodon to 15 mg morphine sulfate SR? Doctor took me off the hydrocodone but put me on the morphine. ## Hello, Carlos! How are you? The SR stands for sustained release, it designates the Morphine as being a time released formulation. Morphine and Hydrocodone are equivalent on a one to one ratio, so he's raised your dosage to try to help you get better control of your pain, throughout the day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have a purple little round pill with a M in a square on one side and on the other side it has the # 30. When I looked it up it showed morphine sulfate Sr. My questions are #1. What does the XR part of the subject RX mean? ## It is just one of several abbreviations used to denote that the medictaion is a sustained release or controlled release formulation. This means that instead of being released all at once, the tablet has been specially formulated to slowly release the active ingredient over the relevant number of dosing hours. Are there any questions or comments?

can this pill be cut in half,i need 360 mg a day,it would save me money if i could do thatNILXQ ## Unfortunately, no. The SR stands for sustained release, which means this is a time released product, so cutting it in half could result in your getting too much of the medication at once. Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. This means that getting too much of it could result in severely lowered blood pressure, which can be dangerous. Are there any other questions or comments?
