Suboxone Klonopin

I was recently prescribed suboxone and klonopin. So I was wondering if anyone out there has taken this combo and what thier feelings are on the subject? ## i have been on suboxen for awhile now...and works like a charm...its like any drug u will and can get addicted...but if u take it as prescibed and do just what the doctor says...u will eventually get off suboxen...then its up too the person that is the hardest part...dealing with life without drugs...my intake to your question is those 2 drugs suboxen and coloapin do NOT go together any downer such as xanec or valume can not be taken with suboxen...it effects the brain....i hope this was helpful to you....i will keep u in my prayers...take care ## I am also prescribed Suboxone (24mg/day) and Clonopin, and I have found it to work very...

I've been on klonopin and suboxone for years. As long as you don't abuse them and take what the dr tells you to, you won't have a problem. It can and will be death if you abuse them. Hope this helps. ## @brian, You have a good point. Self control goes a very long way. As habit-forming as something like klonopin is, continuing to adhere to your doctor's regimen can be the biggest difference between becoming a fully fledged addict or remaining a normal patient. I know those are just labels, but it really is a delicate balance that one must maintain over the duration of treatment or course of several years, as you can vouch for. Glad to hear that you're still finding them both to be beneficial and not detrimental after all this time. Take care!

I take a 1/2 to 1- 8MG strip daily. I have now been prescribed klonopin 1mg at bedtime and will possibly be going up to 2MG in a month or two. I know there are a lot of mixed feelings on benzos and subs but I've been on subs for a pretty good while now and have been diagnosed with lots of health issues recently including epilepsy. I just cannot sleep and the lack of sleep really affects my seizures so the klonopin really is our last resort. We've tried 4 other meds including neurontin (I'm not sure how u spell that lol). I never really even in my active addiction days was a fan of benzos. So will this be ok to take? My Dr obviously thinks so... but I'd like other opinions I suppose. I'm a worrier and I have severe anxiety and panic attacks as well and he thinks this ...

I am very pleased to say that I take all three of these great medications. The suboxone is the most important because it keeps me from craving other drugs which I used to abuse. I take 12mg a day. The Adderall XR 30mg is helpful with ADHD and staying alert. It keeps me going all day. And finally, last but definitely not least is the klonopin 1.5mg a day. Nothing else has touched my anxiety or made me feel so comfortable around people. Each med is important, and I would highly recommend this mix for anyone with anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse disorder. Of course, they’re all controlled substances so you have to control yourself and be responsible, especially with a history of substance abuse. I am on 3 suboxones a day the highest dose. 1 mg of klonopin 3 times a day and 100 mg of lamictal twice a day. Is this safe? And what are the side affects. I find I am lathargic, high, extremely tired and get the nods and slurred speech. I feel high as a kite and fall asleep very easy but don't want to end up im a coma. Is this normal? I recently switched doctors because my original doctor stopped prescribing me klonopin when he put me on suboxone. My new doctor put me back on klonopin, but he wants to take away my adderall because he thinks it is causing anxiety. The adderall actually helps me focus and keeps me motivated. I kind of need it, but I also need the klonopin. So I don’t know what to do. I also need the suboxone to keep my life on track. Hello I just found this forum, and first I want to say I have taken Klonopin 1 mg a day for 20 years for my anxiety disorder. 9 years ago after a c-section I became dependent on Hydrocodone. Recently I have tapered down to only 1 to 2 a day and have been trying so hard to quit. Anyways, I was rx'ed some 5mg Suboxone pills. For a few days I have taken just a little of the pill, maybe 1mg of it gets me through the day, but after researching it I am worried. I was going to go back to the doctor to see if they would give me those to stop the Hydrocodone dependence. But there is no way I could ever stop the Klonopin. I've been taking 90mg Avinza twice daily for about 11 years, with the addition of percoset 5mg 2-4x a day over the last two years. I still couldn't sleepplus had major anxiety issues, and after trying Ambien (awful!), Klonopin, Xanax & other meds that made me brain dead the next day, I finally began using cannabis with great success. It even relieved my pain by making me stop focusing on it. Then I scored a 21 on a drug panel at pain mgmnt and now they are tapering me off morphine & cold turkey on percocet. ok--I really want some documentation regarding these deaths caused by the use of Suboxone and benzodiazepenes ie; Ativan, Klonopin, etc., concurrently. I want to know because I have been taking Suboxone with Librium for months, and now am taking Suboxone with Klonopin. I only take 2mg of Suboxone, mind you the high end 'range' is 32mg a day! Hello everyone! I've was a pain pill addict for almost 11 years. I had many of surgeries and have a lot of medical problems. I was put on the pain pills due to my severe pain. And, became addicted. Went on methadone to get clean. I was so sick of being an addict. I was on 110mg and weaned down to 24mg. At that point, I was withdrawing so bad. I have a friend that takes Suboxone and Klonopin at the same time....but he falls asleep EVERYWHERE all the time...so I'm considering having him try Nuvigil...What are the risks of the meds being combined? ## Well, unless you are a doctor, you shouldn't be having him try any medications, that is something that should only be done by a medical professional. That brings the relevant questions, has he talked to his doctor about the problem? Is he supposed to be taking them both, at the same time? If so, then it is highly likely that he is on too high of a dosage of one, or the other, in which case, it is much safer to adjust one of those medications, than to risk the side effects and complications associated with adding a new medication.

I was using pain pills for a few years! I have been on suboxone 4 mg for 2 yrs. I have terrible anxiety & depression & am on Cellexa & klonopin for that. That helps! I tried detoxing myself off the Suboxone 2wks ago & went thru hell, after a wk I was better. But still no sleep, achey, nauseous,headache & overall felt like bad flu. Well I relapsed & now am back on it! I want to wean myself off-But am getting my Dr to get me in an outpatient rehab-I have a 2 & 10 yr old & live with my parents. They know it all & My Mom helped me go thru the withdrawls before & had to hold me from shaking. I want off of it fast!! I have taken 100mg of methadone around 0600 then I took another 100 mg about an hour later. Now I have been taking .5 mg of klonopins about four times today...I don't feel imparied...I'm not nodding out....should I be concerned that I won't wake up? ## Possibly yes I've recently lost two friends that overdosed on benzodiazepines and opiates. Hi. Im on suboxone and xanax xr and prozac 40-60 mg day. Subone was great first two wks, now i have a ton of anxiety and major body jerks.
