I was in one of the other forums and saw someone post about an Rx film cutting guide? I guess it's suppose to help you cut your Suboxone films into to small doses for tapering. Well its $5 to download and I wanted to get some feedback before I decided if I wanted to download it. Has anyone used this before and if so, how did it work? ## I don't have any personal experience with this, but I do know tapering is the way to go if you want to avoid most withdrawal symptoms. Out of curiosity I went ahead and ran a google search on "Rx film cutting guide" and came across the one you mentioned for Suboxone. The instructions make it seem like a simple process, so I have no doubt it's worth the 5 bucks if it saves you time and energy from withdrawal symptoms. Everyone is diffe...

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with suboxone films sticking 2 your teeth ? Sometimes, when I put the film under my tongue, it won't go in right and sticks 2 my teeth. So, I'm trying 2 fix it properly and the film is wet, it then sticks 2 my fingers. It's like wasting half the darn film. Anyone else experience this? ## Hey Cats, The films get messy. I use a mirror when possible and sometimes it still gets all over the place. I found out the hard way not to touch the films once they get wet. ## There really isn't going to be a huge difference in absorption if it sticks to your teeth and dissolves elsewhere in the mouth. You are still going to get the medication into your body. Thus, unless your doctor advises otherwise, it may be best to just...

When on facolin xr 10mg, can you take suboxone film 8mg if you have withdrawals? Or can you take it together? I took 3 10mgs of focalin xr yesterday n couldnt sleep all night, i took 4 more today, still havent slept, was wondering if i took suboxone film if itll help me sleep or will it give somekind of high. ## Hello, Chambabe! How are you? Why did you take so much of the Focalin XR? This is a stimulant that carries the risk of being habit forming and it is well known to case side effects, such as insomnia, headache, irritability and weight loss. And no, since it is a stimulant and Suboxone is a narcotic, which is basically a downer, it is not safe to also take it, unless your doctor specifically instructs you to do so. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit ...

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever had problems with the suboxone films? Sometimes, the film will b torn in half when I open the film up, or, it will stick 2 the inside of the package and it breaks off a piece of the film. And, u r stuck trying 2 get them out of the package. I asked my Dr and pharmacist about this, and, they said the manufacturer was working on that problem. It doesn't happen all the time, but , when it does , it's a real pain in the a&&. ## Hey Cats, How you doing? Ya, thats happened to me to. Kind of a pain in the butt. ## Hey Jolter, I'm fine. Hope u r doing well. Yeah, u get some good scripts and others r awful . ## Do you two happen to know each other outside of MedsChat? I got the sense that you might from other related posts and w...

has anyone come down from suboxone slowly with no ill effect? ## yes ,i was on 115 mgs of methadone @ swithed to suboxone,it was much easier to ween down from sub than methadone,i'm on 4mgs,down from 16 mgs,it's a good treatment and you must ween down slowly,2mgs every 2 weeks,no sickness, that wasn't the case with methadone. ## Suboxone is very popular for this very reason, a slow taper makes it much easier to get off and stay off drugs. ## i am down to one suboxone a day now after being on three for about 6 months...i cannot afford it anymore so i plan to be weened on in a month or so...should i split my films in half for 2 weeks then to 1/4 ? will that help with withdrawal symptoms....i am scared of the symptons cause i work and go to school and do not want to be or feel s...

Does anyone know if Suboxone works for nerve pain and how much does it cost a month ## Hello, Karen! How are you? Some people get good results taking it for pain, but not all, it varies from person to person. As to the cost, unfortunately, that can vary greatly from area to area and pharmacy to pharmacy, as well, so I can't quote you a price. The FDA classifies it as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It varies but currently in the Southern CA area it's going for anywhere from $220-260. I get mine for $240. With a Manufacture Discount Coupon you can get at suboxone.com it brings it down to $186. This is for 30 Films a month.

I,ve started to taper off sub. and plan to be off it in a couple of months. I pay for sub. dr. visits because he doesn,t take my insurance. I do use my insurance at drug store for the filmstrips. I read someplace that if your useing your insurance to pay for the prescription that this will pop up red flags in the future when you need pain medication for a legimate reason. I am on subs. because of oxy abuse. I,ll be needing to have my knee replaced sometime in the future, I,m trying to put it off for a couple of years and I don,t want to be prescribed suboxone when I have surgery done. Every time I go to a DR. are they gonna look at there computer and see I,ve been on subs. for abuse? I go to a private sub.DR. not my regular one. ## Red flags pop up, when you are doing such things as get...

Hi, I was on suboxone for 3 years, then I tapered pretty quickly and was off of suboxone 8 mg for 10 days. The withdrawals were really bad, went to ER and they had to push 2 bags of fluid. I wasn't eating or drinking. Well a lot of people know how it is. I hadn't slept for 8 days when I went in. They finally inj. my buttocks with something to make me sleep. Went home and slept finally for 8-10 hours but the next day and night was horrible again. I gave in and went back to my suboxone doctor and he put me back on suboxone. He wanted to taper me much slower this time. Well, I've only taken 2 and 1/4 of the films he gave me within a span of 2-3 days and then I flushed the rest. I felt so depressed going back on the suboxone. So now it's been almost 48 hours since I took the...

I get prescribed Suboxone films 8/2 and the cost is killing me. Will the discount card work at a discount pharmacy? ## Hello, Preston! How are you? You'll need to ask the pharmacy in question, if they accept it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What pharmacy do you use? If you can post back with this information, someone may know.

I was on 80mg of oxycontin 3 times a day and it was no longer helping after taking it for many, many, many years. I switched to Suboxone for my Chronic Pain Mgt. Was on 6mg films for the 1st year and always had extra, as I took them at night. I was shocked how well they worked along with Flexeril for my back, leg and feet pain. Then I was cut to 3mg film once a day. I usually take the 6mg film every other day, and still forget at times, so I may only use 11 instead of 14 in 28 days. I recently tried to cut to the equivalent of 1/3 a day, but the insomnia and anxiety were off the charts after only a few days. At my last appointment it was Student Teaching Day. My Doctor explained how I am there for pain management which is why I haven't been completely we end off the medication. He a...

My insurance is no longer covering my suboxone or Zubsolv. I started taking it to get off of all opiates and narcotics, but it helps with chronic back pain from a botched back surgery. I can't afford the hundred dollar prices. Does anyone know of something similar that doesn't cost so much? I only have til July 1st to find something. Please help, thank you. ## Hi Elizabeth! I know they make a generic form of the suboxone pill form. That would b the cheapest. They haven't come out with generic films yet. Also, u can try talking 2 your Dr about any discount programs. Sometimes, they even have discount coupons. 2 help out. They have them here in RI. R u eligible 4 any kind of health insurance? Or do u already have insurance? ## I have ins. they just suck. My Caresource Insurance Stopped Paying For Strips And Now My Pharmacy Gives Me 8mg White / Round Generic Pills Which Insurance Covers. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Orange Octagon N8 Pills? Does Anyone Know What Pharmacy Might Give These And Will Caresource Pay For Them In Ohio. Are They Better? ## I'm on the films and I prefer them to the pills. And no you can't get the stop sign shaped pills by reckitt anymore as they phased them out a few years ago due to "children safety" when there is no evidence backing this up which is why they are facing a mega legal suit from the FDA. You can get generic pills however but not generic films as those are only brand name. I tried the generic pills and didn't care for em so I take an 8mg strip a day and have for years and never...

there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ...

I have been taking morphine 60mg er for 5 yrs. Will buprenorphine be able to handle my neuropothy because 180mg of morphine & 12mg Dilaudid doesn't touch the pain I'm in? I'm just scared buprenorphine wont be able to touch my pain I'm ready to cut my feet off its like walking on burning coal 24/7/365. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks ## For me dilaudid was ( I'm not taking now) only thing that gave me any quality of life and could still work with my nerve pain, but everyone is different, they have bucca films now that supposedly is strong enough to help with cancer pain, problem for me was I had other seriously legitimate and proven painful things happen and it was not good I had bee...

I have a high tolerance i took a 15mg white morphine how long should i wait to take suboxone?? ## To properly use Suboxone for addiction issues, it shouldn't be taken until you are in full withdrawal from the other substances you were taking. Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the Naloxone is used to prevent the abuse of other opiates, while someone is under treatment, however, it can throw you into withdrawals if taken too soon. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Does anyone have a good taper method with suboxone, my grandpa has about 10 4mg and 4 2mg films, need these to last or until he weans himself of suboxone for H withdrawal. He was using about 2gs a day..he would buy in bulk to save money but just made addiction worse....

I need some advice. I started taking Suboxone films last November. I am on 20 mg. a day. Ever since I started these films I noticed that underneath my tongue became sore, like it swelled up and had little bumps underneath. Per my pharmacist, I tried putting it in between my cheek and gum on the bottom, but the same thing happened. It's getting to the point that if I eat anything hot or spicy, it stings like crazy. Even the suboxone stings a little. I don't want to get my whole mouth sore, so I am keeping it underneath the tongue. In the morning my tongue is swelled and it's difficult to talk right, especially saying "s". I told my doctor when it first started happening, but he didn't think much of it. Anyone else have this problem? What should I do? ## It is diff...

Was taking suboxone films and got switched to pills. Now I'm getting sick throwing up. I am very sorry about the problems you're experiencing. However, without knowing the markings on the specific pills that you're taking, I can't check the inactive ingredients for you to see what they contain. Can you please post back with this additional information?
