They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. If they are from the same manufacturer, are the 4mg, 8mg and 12mg the same size.Basically what I am asking is are 8mg and 12mg typically the same size strip? ## 12 is larger. Do you know why the 8/2 would be two different color oranges? Does that mean anything (i.e. old, expired, generic, etc) ## Hello Billycat, Here are the dimensions of the strips according to the FDA website. 2 mg/0.5 mg 22.0 mm x 12.8 mm 4 mg/1 mg 22.0 mm x 25.6 mm 8 mg/2 mg 22.0 mm x 12.8 mm 12 mg/3 mg 22.0 mm x 19.2 mm Surprisingly the 4/1 strips are the largest. I hope this information helps.

trying to detox from subone have been on 8mgs a day for 15 months need help please thank you. ## Hi confused, I hope I don,t confuse you more but heres what I did when I got down to 8mgs. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. I kept this routine up for 2weeks then tapered to 4mgs. From the 4mgs I tapered 1mg. per week. After the last week on 1mg. I stopped completely. I was taking the strips and when I got down to 4mgs. sub dr. prescribed the 2mg strips just because it was easier to cut. Tapering this way was a walk in the park. No wds. bettween tapers. Last week on 1mg I woke up couple times thruout night but went right back to sleep. No problems after that. Been off subs s...

I went to pick up my suboxone strips and was given the little white pill instead which I have read is the generic form. I normally take 1/2 strip twice daily and took the entire 8mg. tablet and did not have any of my normal effects from the strips. I then took another tablet a few hours later and still nothing. I read that this form of suboxone does not work and can cause you to go into withdrawal. Is this true? Why isn't it working? What can I do. The pharmacy told me that my insurance only covers the generic form, and not the orange ones or the strips. I'm obviously concerned about this and not sure what I can do. Any feedback would be appreciated. ## What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back and clarify? What effects are you expecting it to cau...

I used to take the 8mg suboxone strips. Trust me stick with the suboxone. I would rather have 1 suboxone strip than 2 zubsolv tabs but my insurance doesn't cover suboxone. ## Omg subzolve SUCKS ive been on suboxone for a few years and my ins wont cover it anymore so now im suppose to be on subzolve and it has done NOTHING but throw in wicked withdrawal. I take 3 (8mg) of suboxone everyday. I try 2 take them at the same time each day. I take 2, then, the last one. I even swish my mouth with water b 4 taken them, and, brush my teeth. I take Biotene b 4 bed, as prescribed by Dr. My ? Is, does anyone else suffer with dry mouth when taken suboxone? It doesn't happen all the time, or, all day. But it interferes with the strips getting caught in my teeth, not going in properly and taking longer 2 dissolve. Any similar problems from others? Any suggestions would b helpful. TY! ## Hey Cats, That happens to me sometimes and I don,t think theres much you can do about it except the swishing water around before you take it. ## Hi Jolter! Thank you 4 replying. What dosage of sublingual strips are relevant? It's difficult to provide an answer, without knowing the basis for comparison. Can you pleas post back with more details? Thanks! ## The pill #155 is soooooooo muchhhh weaker than the suboxone strips! An 8mg suboxone strip compares to one #155 pill in the generic form. My insurance switched and now they are giving me the generics and they taste sooo gross take 10 minutes to dissolve and for what?! I can't even tell I took anything. Ive been on and off of suboxone for years and this generic s*** is gunna put me off .i refuse to take it everyday! In short...name brand will always be ...

Hi all, I just made the switch from Methadone to Suboxone! YES! I went through hell to get here but I did it. Anyway, I'm on day 3 of suboxone and I'm at 16mg. My question is should I take two 8mg strips in the morning or one in the morning and one in the afternoon? Any input would help. Btw, this is the ONLY forum I've found that is updated! ## It is generally given in a single daily dose, though splitting it up may work better for you and can be done, if your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Caresource Insurance Stopped Paying For Strips And Now My Pharmacy Gives Me 8mg White / Round Generic Pills Which Insurance Covers. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Orange Octagon N8 Pills? Does Anyone Know What Pharmacy Might Give These And Will Caresource Pay For Them In Ohio. Are They Better? ## I'm on the films and I prefer them to the pills. And no you can't get the stop sign shaped pills by reckitt anymore as they phased them out a few years ago due to "children safety" when there is no evidence backing this up which is why they are facing a mega legal suit from the FDA. You can get generic pills however but not generic films as those are only brand name. I tried the generic pills and didn't care for em so I take an 8mg strip a day and have for years and never...

I've been taking Tramadol for 14 years and I messed up my dosage by a few days so I thought I was going to be out of Tramadol for this weekend, so I was given 2 suboxone 8mg strips and was told it would help. Well, I was wrong and I just miscounted my pills. I found them but I already took the 2 strips. I want to take my Tramadol but I am scared that I'm going to get sicker than I already am right now. I never should've taken that darn suboxone, but I've never taken it before today so I'm hoping it'll be out of my system faster! Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?? Thank you in advance!! :/ ## Hello, Sickone! How are you? Yes, I'm sorry, but whoever told you that the Suboxone would help was misinformed. One of its active ingredients is Naloxone, which neut...

I was on methadone for 15 years, up to 300mg at the most. I recently switched to suboxone, after a slow taper to 20mg of the done. I have been on sub for 5 days now, needing 6 to 8mg a day. My question is why does my stomach hurt so bad after the dose wears off? I have tried splitting doses and it alleviates the stomach pain temporarily. Could this be the nalaxone in the suboxone? Or can methadone hang out and cause withdrawals still, even though the suboxone covers for it. All started from a surgery at 15 years old, fron post surgery pain management. then a pediatrician started me on methadone for the pain and eventually referred me to a methadone clinic when I was 18. ## Forgot to add I get 8/2mg(bupe/ nalaxone) sublingual strips, and split it in two for a total of one strip a day. ##...

I have been taken 2 8mg suboxone strips a day for 2 years and my ins won't pay now and they told me about this new one called zubsolv...I'm thinking of switching has anybody taken it and it worked cuz I'm scared of goin from something that works to something that don't ## Hello, Justin! How are you? Zubsolv contains the exact same ingredients as Suboxone. Buprenorphine coupled with Naloxone, both are most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so as long as you doctor approves, you should be able to make a smooth switch. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I started taking suboxone in early June. 8mg/2mg strips. 1 1/2 a day. I didn't find out I was pregnant till around 14 weeks. That's a completely different story but luckily baby is safe due to being on birth control for about 7 weeks of me not knowing yet. Anyway I wanted to get off the subs so I left message after message for my OB and heard nothing back. I finally went in for my 18 week ultrasound. When I asked about OB about what was going on he seemed very confused. He has known about the suboxone but had no clue about me wanting to get off the med because the nurse never gave the messages to him. He advised me to stay on it for the safety of the baby. He said chances are he won't have withdrawals after birth but just incase it is easier for him to treat outside the womb...

Hi everyone I'm a 25 year old male and have been taking 2-3 30 mg Oxycodone pills a day for the last 3 years. I get w/d after 1 full day with no pills but I 100% percent want to be done for good. I was fortunate enough to obtain 3 8mg Suboxone film strips. I know everyone varies but can anyone give any helpful advice to get me off the Oxys with just these 3 Subs? I don't think ill be able to get more from the person and I don't want to pay all the money for doc visits and a script. Please help, I know I'm ready to be done and get back to my old self. BTW I'm 5'11 and 185 lbs if that helps with the advice of how much to take. Want to know how many 8mg suboxone strips it takes to reach the 'ceiling effect' which docs say is equivalent to 30mg of methadone? ## Sub dr. told me 32mg or 4 of the 8/2 strips. In my opinion thats way too much sub for anyone to be on anyways. ## I never felt suboxone, whether I took 1 or 4, subutex ceiling affect for me was 4 or 32 mg... ## Hey christian777, Your not suppose to feel suboxone. It doesn't make you high. You might feel something very slightly at first but that goes away quickly and you just feel normal. Ceiling effect just means that after so many mgs the drug just can,t do anymore for you. Thats why when someone needs more than lets say 30mgs of methadone to "feel right " suboxone may not be the best choice for them. Methadone has no ceiling effect ...

Hello everyone.. first time writing in a forum like this.. so basically I've taken opiates for 6 or 7 months. Yesterday's at 10 pm I was at my first 24 hours with nothing. I started my subs. I took two 8mg strips.. an hour later took two more, then three hours later took two more, then three hours later took one and again three hours later took one. Last one. That was ten hours ago. I'm worried about when that will all wear off and when should I take another strip? Any helpful advice, please and thank you. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Have you taken any more? That was a very high dose to take in on day, the maximum is usually just 32mgs and you took twice that. It is also slowly titrated up to a higher dose, after seeing how someone does on a low one. What dosing schedule did...
