what is stronger than percocet 10
I have servere lymes disease and i take 8 to 10 per day but they really dont work then they are starting to make me mean as well. So i was wondering what is the next step up in something stronger... i dont want the 10/600 dosage , Percocet just isnt for me....Can anyone help me?? ## Hi Stephen, I actually came across a chart listing all of the top pain killers, ranking them from weakest to strongest. And it looks like morphine sulfate would most-likely be the next step up from what you're taking now. You can view the chart here to get an idea of what options are out there: vaughns-1-pagers.com/medicine/painkiller-comparison.htm I hope this helps to answer your question! ## Well i am already taking the Fentanyl Patch so i would like to avoid morphine...So what else would work? ...

is oxycodone stronger than percocet
I just had neck surgery a fusion on 5,6, and 7 i have been taking percacet 10/325 now for over a year well i ran out of my percacet and the doctor prescribed me oxycodone 5/325 so i just took one of those i just wanted to know if i should take to instead of one because if they aint stronger than percacet it won't help right? ## Honey, Percocet IS oxycodone. Oxycodone IS the generic form of Percocet. (Percocet is the name brand, as Advil= IBprofun & Tylenol=Acetimeniphen.) your doc has u on the 5mg instead of the 10mg, probably for a reason-so be careful, this addiction Thing is no joke. I promise you. Your better off starting as low as possible. Hey, wishing you a happy quick recovery! is percocet stronger than hydrocodone
I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. I've been on all 3 medicines and alot of other medicine (not pain medicine) for over 3yrs. ## Yes, it only takes 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Percocet would be stronger. Learn more Percocet details here. Oxycodone is also available by itself, without the Acetaminophen, in a regular release formulation, so you also may want to ask your doctor about that. It is another narcotic opiate, so it also has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can he... ...

What Is Stronger/Longer lasting Than 10mg Percocet
My primary dr has me on 10 mg percocet, 2 every 4 hrs for chronic/severe leg pain but it has lost it's effectiveness. I have appt w/pain mgt clinic on the 18th for the 1st time and am hoping they rx something stronger & definitely something that lasts longer. I haven't slept a full night in almost 2 years due to waking up in pain, taking meds, waiting for them to kick in and waiting to fall asleep again. Does anyone have an educated guess on what they may rx or what works well for this problem? Just curious and very excited at the prospect of having this pain under control. ## There are actually several time released medications that they may choose from. The most commonly used contains Oxycodone, it's called Oxycontin. There's also a time released Morphine available... ...

Is Oxycodone Hydrochloride stronger then Percocet
Hi looking for some guidance hoping someone could shed some light. I have very chronic neck and back pains. I also having bulging disk in my neck C4 all the way to C6. I have been on Norco, Vicadin, Ibuprofen 800, genetic Percocet and name brand Percocet ( the hello pill with the Percocet logo on it) I have had 2 neck procedures done. The first was an epidural shot with trigger points and the second was a radio frequency medial branch remi. Nothing has helped me my doctor is really looking to help me get better I don't know why no matter what I take or do the darn pain just won't go away. You would think be being so tiny the pills would effect me and they don't! I am 5'3 120lbs and I have taken at times 8/10 Percocets in a day to no avail. Just today my doctor changed my... ...

percocet m523
are watson perks stronger than endo perks ## If the dosage is the same, then the strength would be the same. The pill you mentioned, with the M 523 marking isn't manufactured by either one of those companies, it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. It contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet, a narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Read more: Are there any comments or questions? ## I just started taking this pill made by these folks and I am having bad reactions. Bad temper, serious fatique, very unusual thoughts.. I have taking 10/325's for over two years and never had a single problem until I got these. I'm waiting until my next refill, hopefull... ...

norco or percocet
hi, ive been on Norco 10/325 for about two years now and my pain on a scale of 1-10 is a 10, what could I take that is stronger, ive thought about Percocet for a while but not sure. thanks nona ## Hi nona, Sorry to hear about the challenges you're having with pain management. A few other options that come to mind as far as being something potentially stronger than Norco, are those names listed below: Percocet Percodan Meperidine Dextropropoxyphene Hydromorphone (Opana) Although medications like percocet or percodan may be similar in potency to norco, the fact of the matter is that each type of drug can, and often does effect each personal differently (largely influenced by one's individual tolerance and body chemistry). So no matter which medication you end up going with, there... ...

percocet vs norco
I'm taking percocet 10/650mg.I have (DDD),(Athritis)and the list goes on.I have a friend on Norco. Can you tell me what the difference is between them and the highest mg.the norco comes in.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! ## The Percocet is way better then the Norco bro, and the reason is because Percocet is Oxycodone and Norco is Hydrocodone. what im trying to say is Oxycodone is a stronger and longer lasting Opiate then Norco. i mean it does not matter if u take them both either at the same time, just make sure to watch how much Tylenol/Acetaminophen ur taking, try not to take more 4000 to 5000mgs cause it can damage ur liver. The best Percocet you can get is 10-650 and 10-325 The best Norco you can get is 10-325 or Lorcets which are 10-650 . Hope this helped in anyway at all and fell free ... ...

Percocet Vs Opana
I have Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes #2, Sciatica down both legs, Piriformis Syndrome, L4 L5 S1 Vertabre Fracture x2, Osteoarthritis in my spine, knees, thumbs, feet! Chronic numbness down my right leg, groin area that hurts like hell. I started out taking Darvocet and have worked my way up to Percocet 325/10 for the last 3 years. I was wondering IF Opana would work better? My doctor wanted to put me on Oxycotin, but of course my insurance won't pay for it, not even with a required PA! So according to Medicare Part D (which I have) they need a PA for Oxycotin, but not one for Opana! Oxycotin is considered a class 3 and Opana a class 2 drug! So is Opana as strong as Oxycotin? Are they both stronger than Percocet? I tried Morphine Sulfate 10 mgs about 3 years ago, and it did NO... ...

Pain Medication Stronger Than Fentanyl
At the hospital with heart and.chest pain. already on a fentanol patch and its not working. is there anything stronger than the fentanol patch? ## No, Fentanyl is really the strongest narcotic on the market, since it's over 80 times stronger than Morphine. However, there are medications they can give you that would work faster, but on that the relevant question is, what is causing the pain? ## I need a dr in Binghamton area for my medications fentanol and Percocet my dr went out with cancer and the other dr is not weighting he scripts for anyone any more new York Binghamton vestal plead help ## Ask at your hospital for the name of a Pain Specialist, or Rheumatologist. Percocet Vs Lortab
What is the difference in percocet 10/325 and lortab 10/500, I know the amount of tylenol is different, but I've taken both and the lortab seem to work better than the percocet. Is one stronger than the other? ## Lortab contains Acetaminophen, coupled with the narcotic Hydrocodone. Percocet contains Acetaminophen, coupled with the narcotic Oxycodone. So, it might just be that the Hydrocodone works better for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

percocet/long term
I have been on percocet for the past 6 yrs now at 10 mil x 5 a day and was wondering does anyone find that they have a need for stronger doses over time? I was switched last yr and had previously been on 10 x 4 a day for about 3-4 yrs so i think maybe this may be about right for the length of time i have been on them..but what happens when they start to be ineffective> I take them for arthritis in neck spine and hands as well as fibromyalgia and scoliosis i also suffer from chronic cluster migraines I am a 46 yr old female. ## Percocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. And yes, your body eventually adjusts to anything you are taking for a long period of time and will require a higher dosage to get the same results or a medication change. Read more: Do you ... ...

Lorcet Vs Percocet
What is the medication with these markings IP204? ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, this combination could be considered a generic for either one, though many doctors refer to Lorcet as being the product that contains 650mgs of the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## My apologies, it's been one of those mornings. Lorcet would actually contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so the tablet you were asking about would be a generic for Percocet, because it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. ## which is considered a stronger medication overall, Lorecet or Norco? ALL WHITE PILL WITH ONE LINE ON ONE SIDE AND 825 ON THE OTHER SIDE ## This tablet contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Oxycodone, a generic for Percocet. This is a narcotic pain reliever. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## is Percocet 10 stronger than a Lorocet 10 ## Yeah Its A little stronger, there both opiots and very addictive, If you have the choice stay way from both of them, trust me I have heard really bad stories of both of them ## if u can stay away from all longterm use of narcotic pain pills i would strongly suggest it. ive been taking them for 8 years and ive wanted to stop but i have become extremely addicted to them over the years and am not able to quit taking them. my gf has tried to get me to stop b... ...

Opana 10 Vs Percocet
opana 10 vs percocet 10 for chronic pain in legs from neuropathy + severe muscle atrophy! I have a bullet in my back which can not be removed. some one told me about opana as he suffers with the same injury! Was wondering if the opana works better on this type of nerve pain better than the percocet? ## Hi Delain - sorry to hear about your chronic pain. Technically speaking the Opana (active ingredient Oxymorphone) is a significantly stronger pain killer than Percocet if you are taking the same dosage. However, depending on how your body metabolizes it and exactly how you are taking the medication could influence the result. If you have already started the Opana may I ask how you are finding it compared to the Percocet? Hopefully you are finding the relief you need! ## I havent switched ... ...

Percocet vs Tramacet
Hi. I'd like information comparing Percocet(oxycodone/ acetaminophen) and Tramacet (tramadol hydrochloride/acetaminophen). Is Percocet a stronger, or more powerful pain killer than Tramacet, and if so, by how much? eg if you have been taking Percocet are you likely to get the same effect from Tramacet? Is there a chart somewhere that compares or ranks all pain killers comparatively? If so please tell me where. Thanks - good health to you all ## The Tramadol is not actually a narcotic, it is derived from an opiated, but it is not actually one, so it is therefore nowhere near as strong as the Percocet, which contains a strong narcotic Oxycodone. ## She asked about Tramacet not Tramadol. Tramacet is an opiate as is Percocet. As for the chart listing different opiates and their strength... ...

Fentanyl and Percocet !!
Good Morning, I need help with this situation. I also have deterioation of my spine.I was sent to a Pain specialist. I was put on the generic Percocet 10/325 for 2 years . I was then changed to Fentanyl 50 mg. and taken off of the Percocet completely. I started feeling dizzy, my blood pressure went up, I started shaking, I could continue to go on. I noticed when I take my zanax I felt better, but it keeps coming back. I believe I'm going through withdrawal from stopping the Percocet. I am really scared, and need to know if this is possible? and what will I need to do? I need help because I am really scared and do want this to stop. ## Hello, Marsha! How are you? Fentanyl is much stronger than the Oxycodone in the Percocet, so it isn't likely that you're experiencing withdraw... ...

Norco 10 3 25 Vs Percocet
I've been taking Norco 10/3.25 for years for severe chronic pain--It's now no longer effective at all--I'm wondering about changing to Percocet 10/3.25 and whether this would be a stronger, more effective and longer lasting med to take--I've tried also Oxy.10 mg. hcl and they work so so and notice I need to take way more often than I ever did with Norco. I don't want to go this route at all!! I'm hoping the Percocet would change all this. Does it? ## I personally was in the same situation as you and I changed from Norco to percocet 10 325. It's much more effective then the Norco was but they have the same time frames. I sampled for a while 15 milligram oxycodones and didn't like those because there is no acetaminophen. 15mg Percocet Oxycodone
I have been on Percocet 10/650 for around 8 yrs. now for my back. They cannot do surgery because the bone and discs in my spine are not strong enough to hold any type of device. They have now changed it to Oxycodone 15 mg but doesn't seem to help. Is Oxycodone 15 stronger than the Percocet 10/650? I am NOT looking for drugs and the high that some give. My profession is very important to me and I would NEVER risk loosing it due to drugs, however, I am on my feet for at least 12 hrs. a day on concrete. I am just curious if the Oxy 15 is stronger and better to take or is there something better. ## The problem may be caused by the lack of Acetaminophen, it generally enhances the effects of the Oxycodone and helps it work better. Have you consulted your doctor? If they still permit you t... ...
