I have been taking brand name Avapro for years, but now that it has gone generic Theexpense has become astronomical. Thinking about going generic ...however worried about side effects. Any generic version I should be aware of? I am so leary of generics and the fillers and overseas manufacturers. ## Hi Henrietta, Based on my research Avapro made by Solco healthcare U.S. is based out of Cranbury, New Jersey. It appears that this is where their headquarters is located according to the company's webpage. You are right though about generics being a little iffy when it comes to the fillers and side effects. However there's really no way to know for sure how any generic/brand is going to effect you until you try it. If you're used to taking the brand name, it would probably be easi...

After taking Solco Healthcare Losartan for many years, with no problems, I switched to another less expensive brand, Aurobindo. In all fairness, I cannot say for certain that my cough was caused from the Aurobindo med, I only know the duration of my cough was during this time period. ## I took Aurobindo losartan 50 mg. for three to four weeks and experienced the same symptoms as you, but my cough still persists.
