IS TEVA 74 MADE OF THE SAME COMPOUND AS AMBIEN, OR DOES IT HAVE SLIGHT VARIATION..?? ## The pill in description is Zolpidem (10 mg), which is actually the generic for Ambien; however Generic Zolpidem is approved for the short-term (usually about two to six weeks) treatment of insomnia while Ambien CR is approved for long-term use….so I am assuming it may not be exactly one in the same (having a slight variation as you mentioned). NOTE: Zolpidem has not proven effective in maintaining sleep and is more used for sleep initiation problems. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

My husband will not take his sleeping pill. He stays up all night. Should I crush it up and put it in his food ## Hello, Bump! How are you? If he is of normal sound mind then no, you can't do that. It would actually be considered illegal. I know you're worried about him, but if he just doesn't want to take it and prefers to deal with his insomnia, then that is his right. If he isn't of sound mind and you are supposed to make sure that the takes it, then whether or not you can crush it and give it to him that way depends on which one he is supposed to be taking, since some of them are time released. Which one has he been prescribed and what is the dosage? ## It starts with a A. Ambiance I think That's how u spell it ## Did you mean Ambien? It is used for the short-ter...

I started with the starter pack 2 weeks ago. First day I took the 10mg in the morning, was severely dizzy all day. Waited the following day and didn't take until night time right before bed. I didn't experience any of the sleeping side effects that others here have mentioned. Over the whole period of the two weeks of taking viibryd, my leg muscles(upper and lower) and shins have been increasing in pain and now having pain in my forearms and stretching into my biceps. (Can the viibryd cause these effects?) After the first week I bumped up to the 20mg as instructed, still taking before bedtime. In the morning severely and then throughout the day I began having nausea and diarrhea. I've also been having skin sensitivty on my scalp, shoulders, and neck. I visited my Physician ye...

I was diagnosed with BP2 and on Lithium, antidepressants etc and prescribed Purata for about a year to sleep at night (my brain just won't ever switch off) the Purata 30mg worked excellent but then I had colon problems and the spes said it could have been caused by all the meds I'm on, so I was weaned off everything. Then they discovered my colon was more than twice the normal lenght and it was shortened. I'm doing quite fine off all the meds except that I could not sleep. So last week doc prescribed 30mg Purata again, but now its not working at all! Is it because its the second time around? Should I take it just before going to bed or how long before it kicks in? I really suffer to fall asleep, but once I'm sleeping I have no trouble to stay asleep. P.s. I go to gov cli...

how safe is purata sleeping tablets? ## PURATA (Aspen Healthcare, South Africa) is not specifically used as a sleeping tablet; it is available in 10, 15 and 30mg strengths and is OXAZEPAM, one of the oldest and most commonly prescribed benzodiazepine anxiolytics. It is also used frequently in acute alcohol withdrawal. Oxazepam has a relatively short half life and is normally taken on a qds (four times daily) basis. It is less as dating than diazepam, which is comparatively stronger (30mg oxazepam is roughly equivalent to 10-12mg diazepam). There are brands available such as Serenid Forte and Seresta Forte which are of 50mg strength and are more suitable for aiding the onset of sleep. Oxazepam is extremely safe, though as with all benzodiazepines, long term regular use can lead to depend...

re imovan I have taken I, for 23 days until at month ago, ad am worried about at longterm effect, ## Are you referring to the sleeping tablets that contain Zopiclone? Have you discussed it with your doctor? If you were able to stop taking it and haven't taken it again for over a month, then you apparently avoided the addiction issue. However, since these are usually only given for short-term treatment of insomnia, there really isn't a lot of information available on using them for a long period of time.
