The pills my mother got today were yellow oblong pills, but sertraline hcl are usually pinkish or blue... These yellow oblong shaped tabets are imprinted with LU on the front and d03 on the back. ## To be honest, the colors actually mean nothing, that is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. That said, she did get the correct pills. LU D03 does contain 100mgs of Sertraline, a generic for Zoloft, an antidepressant that is also used to treat other conditions, such as OCD. Its common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. Can Sertraline 100 mg tablets be cut in to four pieces and still be effective? My doctor has given me the okay to try different dosages. 50 mg is not enough and I would like to try 75 mg but Sertraline does not come in that dosage. I have 100 mg tablets and want to break them in half and then cut some of the havles in half to get 75 mg. Will doing this cause a problem with how effective the medication is? ## No, it isn't time released, so cutting them won't have an effect on the efficacy and make them more or less effective. However, there are 25mg tablets, so it may be easier to see if your doctor can prescribe a weeks worth of them to take with half of one of the others. That way your dosing can be more precise, but you aren't paying for a full months worth that you may no...

sertraline ## why doesn't anything show when I type in sertraline green pill 100 mg M S3 ## Cause it's blue ## um, pretty sure mine is pale green. ## SAME FOR ME--BUT I BELIEVE IT IS ZOLOFT ## Just to clear some things up in regards to these posts… First of all, everyone was correct on the colors. There were actually 2 different colors of the tablet with the M S3 marking, one was pale green and one was pale blue. And second, everyone was also correct on the identification, because Zoloft and Sertraline are the same thing, Zoloft was just the name brand for it. Learn more Sertraline details here. It is an SSRI antidepressant, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Are there any questions or comments? ## YES ... Does...

sertraline HCL 50 mg has a blue coating, which I wipe off. I am allergic to dyes. Is the color on the 100 mg just a coating also? ## Hi, Carlene! Unfortunately, I can't provide you with an answer, yet. This is due to the fact that Sertraline is a generic and is manufactured by different companies, so I don't know which specific tablets you're asking about. But, what I can tell you is that there are some that don't have a coating, they are just white tablets. Thus, you may be better served to just make your pharmacy aware of your dye allergy, so they can provide you with tablets that have no dye in them and no coating. However, if you really want to check on the ones from the same manufacturer, I will gladly do so, if you can post back with the name of the manufacturer or...

im taking sertraline hcl 100 also mylan clonazepam 0.5mg and seroquel xr 300mg ive been gaining alot of weight and i not eating alot grilled fish and meats and veggies i was wondering if any of thes medicines are making me gain weight also if i stop this medicacine will i just get the way i was be for like depresion panic attacks and axaity ## You actually have two possible culprits here that could be contributing to the problem, both the Sertraline and the Seroquel are known to cause weight gain. The Quetiapine in the Seroquel is known to increase appetite and, thus, cause weight gain and the Sertraline is known to cause it, even without appetite changes. However, if you have been taking them for a long period of time, you shouldn't just abruptly stop them, as this can cause withdr...

100 mg of sertraline foil wrapper with the word SERTIMA 100 on it. the description on the back says sunset yellow but the color is orange. Please help ## As to what they actually contain, they do claim to be 100mgs of Sertraline, however, since this is not a U.S. product, I cannot confirm that. As to the color, they are always subjective, so it doesn't really mean anything. What one person sees as red, another can see as pink and etc. The sunset, many times, is an orange shade, what they name it really doesn't matter and is more than likely just a name they thought would be pleasant and appealing. Where were these obtained?

I currently take 100 mg of Sertraline. I ran out of pills and can't get any more until tomorrow after work. I take it each morning. I have some 25 mg Sertraline pills my Dr prescribed me a good while before increasing my mg. Is it safe and ok to take four of the 25 mg pills to equal the 100 mg I am used to taking? ## Hello, Becca! How are you? Yes, it is okay to do that. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been searching my meds and I haven't cone across anything about the pills being orange But mine are? ## Is this a prescription from the U.S. or Canada? The U.S. 100mg Sertraline tablet, manufactured by Apotex is oval, it is described as yellow, but is a dark color, which many people perceive as orange and has the markings SER 100, divided by a score line on one side and APO on the opposite side. Colors can be subjective to the person looking at them and they can also vary due to anomalies in the manufacturing process, so it is really the imprint on the tablets that you need to look at in order to identify something.

I have recently received a white tablet for sertraline 100mg by mail order when I have been getting a yellow tablet for the same prescription from a local pharmacy. Is there a difference??? ## What are the markings on them? I'm sorry, but this information is needed to enable someone to check for you. However, it is normal for a generic to be manufactured by different companies, so they may be colored and marked differently. Can you please post back with more details? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes, and mood changes.

I have been on sertraline (generic of Zoloft) for ~8 months (? maybe for longer. I don't have the best memory). My current dose is 150 mg, which I've been taking for ~2 months. It's helped my anxiety but not my depression symptoms, so my psychiatrist is switching me to fluoxetine (generic of Prozac). For the first week I'm supposed to take 100 mg of sertraline and 20 mg of fluoxetine; for another week take 50 mg of sertraline and 40 mg of fluoxetine; then just take 60 mg of fluoxetine. Previously when I've switched SSRIs (with a different psychiatrist) I went completely off one before starting the other. I'm worried about the risks of taking more than one SSRI at once, does this sound dangerous or is it a safe way to switch? Has anyone done a similar thing with t...

Light blue oval tablet has center split mark with M on the left and S3 on the right, nothing printed on back side. Bottle labeled as Sertraline HCL 100mg. I'll appreciate finding out if it's just me, or have others experienced this? ## Confirming that the M S3 tablet contains Sertraline 100 mg (NDC 0378-4188).
