2 Topics Foundi have been taking 8 to 10 of these a day and i want to ween off. any suggestions? ## hi nikirenee....i have found that the only thing that helped me with getting off of any opiate medication is suboxone...it saved my life!!! ## And I have also found methadone is good to just don't go to a major dose of that either it will help you 100% ## Aside from what the other posts mentioned, usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I have been on roxicodone for a couple years. I had soo much trouble filling them that I stopped and realized that I couldn't lead a normal life from my pain. Soo I am back in pain management. Filling roxicodone in FL has become impossible. I and my six are trying dilaudid as a replacement, however, I am now having trouble finding them as well. Anyone else suffering the same issue?
