So for a couple years now my Roxane/westward/hikma pills have been super inconsistent or just flat out felt like 2mgs instead of 8mgs. Sometimes they work sometimes they do almost nothing. It started in about the end of 2015. I think i was taking them before 2015 but never looked at the brand until i started having withdrawals out of nowhere. It was like a completely different med. So for almost 2 years i have been having issues. I'm fed up and i have changed brands but always only had partial fills and back to the roxane/westward/hikma brand. Anyone else notice any differences in this brand? ## Hello, This definitely sounds like a problem! Every generic is supposed to stay within an error window of 20% of the brand name drug so going through withdraws is absolutely a problem. Just ...

Small white round pill with the numbers 54 755 on the same side. ## I was using perk 10s for over a year and having a hard time coming off this opiate being told if wanting to be free of this addiction and using subutex the right way will be very helpful in my recovery ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, and they list it as containing 2mgs of Buprenorphine, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction, and to treat some forms of chronic pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. The inactive ingredients may include: citric acid anhydrous, corn starch, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mannitol, povidone, sodium citrate, though they may vary depending...

A friend of mine told me her pharmacy told her they were going to be only getting the small round generic subutex tablets. I have always gotten the big ones. I do not like the small ones, I don't abuse them. So has anyone else heard that they are going to quit making the round generic 54 411 suburex ?? ## @lifesaver, There haven't been any official announcements from the FDA or drug companies regarding the discontinuation of this pill. So I'm not sure where your friend heard this information, but it's possible that it may not be public news yet if she recently got these details in advance from someone within the company. The manufacturer of this specific pill is Roxane Laboratories, Inc. I would suggest contacting them directly for a more accurate answer on what their fu...

So now it is a conspiracy in the Tri-Cities to make it just as hard as they can on bupe patients. I took my monthly rx to the pharmacy I have been doing business with for over two years. I was given a new manufactued bup, 8mg, and it makes me sick. I called them, day 3 of new rx still making me sick, and was told that the manufacturer of the one I've been taking for two years, Roxanne, doubled their price. They have them, but the price is double. I expect my physicians fee to go up to. I guess in their little meeting down town, the powers that be said "okay doctor. we'll do it your way. But it'll cost you. I've called pharmacies all over town for price check and I'm hearing the same thing. Some of them 'don't carry that anymore. Or, we are out right now. ...

Hi everyone.... I was taking Suboxone strips (brand name) for a few years until my doctor recommended I switch to Subutex (Roxanne Labs)) because it was cheaper. I took my first dose on November 20,2012. Two weeks later, I began getting a itchy rash on my left shoulder blade. Then in early December , my right shoulder blade became itchy. After Christmas hives appeared all over my back. By New Years I was awaking in the morning with a red hot flush followed by hives which were now on my rear end and back of my knees. I couldn't just stop taking the Subutex and had no choice but to wait to see my doctor on Jan 2. January 2 I went back on Suboxone strips and thought the hives would stop. Wow was I wrong!!! Today is the 20th day I've been off the subutex. I began taking 10mg of Zyrt...

I use these and they work great. I was on the Roxanna Pharma ones that were circular in size and these orange ones work way better. Wish I had been on them from the start. ## I just got those oblong orange ones today with Half moon - bottle says it's Subutex. Has anyone had these? Are they better than the white ones? I don't know, do I take them the same? ## Are these new orange subutex time released? ## Can you please post a picture if you can. Thanks! ## @post #1, Reviews from the following discussion thread do "suggest" that it works better than the white ones as well as the strips: Discuss/orange-subutex-153-half-moon-286803.htm @post #2, No, these one's are not time-released... they are sublingual though. @post #3, Navigating google, I wasn't able to locate ...

I just filled a 3 day supply of my Subutex & when I got home I realized it was a new pill I've never seen before. I did some research & they're from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries. They're white, round & say 460. I'm being told by a friend that the Roxane brand (54's) will no longer be available. Does anybody know anything about this? I'm not a fan of change! LoL. ## Yes, Sun Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine, which is a generic for Subutex. Unfortunately, I do not have any information on the ones manufactured by Roxane. Have you started taking it, yet? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mout...

What is the difference between the large 8 mg subutex tablets and the small 8 mg subutex tablets? ## People argue that the large ones are stronger when they are the same milligram. Does anyone have some insight about this? ## The little 8 mg round ones with the arrow in the back of pill (prolly size of 5 mg oxycodone IR) are way better than Roxanne. They take effect faster and no filler and the plus it's so much smaller. Trust me, they work faster and last longer and have a cleaner bupe feeling. Btw, I hate suboxone - it's way diff. ## What is the difference between the subutex with the 54-411 and the one with just an 8 on them? ## I believe the color makes a difference.

This is for people who actually take Subutex for the intended purpose for which it is used. So if you actually take the medication sublingually, this thread will help you. I have been taking buprenorphine for three and a half years now. This is what I have found: (8mg) Best: Actavis 153/half moon (orange) Middle: Roxanne 54/411 (white) Worst: Hi-Tech 8/arrow Again, this is for people who take medication as prescribed. You can actually break the medication in half and put it and the front of your lip like dip & chewing tobacco. It will take longer for it to dissolve like this but you will get much much more of the bupe. ## Does keeping the leftover saliva\bupe mixture under your toung for longer periods help at all? I try not to swallow the bupe-liva for 30 min.+...but it's a pai...

Hello All, I recently just got changed from suboxone to subutex due to a pretty bad allergic reaction to the naloxone in the suboxone. Basically my question for everyone is which generic do you guys prefer? My pharmacist can order any kind for me so at the moment I just got the Roxanne ones 8mg - they are white round tablets. This is my first day using and am already noticing my migraines are starting to subside, not fully, but starting to. So yeah if anyone has any suggestions please let me know all the ups and downs that you guys have been experiencing, thanks! Good luck to one and all! D ## I may not have personal experience with either of these generics, but I did want to go ahead and link you to a couple other threads here with more information on other Subutex reviews: Discuss/can...

I have had some cravings lately so I took a couple buprenophine 54 375 pills. I SWALLOWED them and then realized they were the 8mg/2mg and also that i swallowed them instead of under my tongue. I have been f***ed up for 3 days. Bad headaches and no appetite. I swallowed them because i forgot how to take them and either way, it was way too much and I would say be careful. I will not do that again. These things are dangerous. ## When taken under the tongue, the bupe kicks the naloxones ass and it has no effect. When swallowed, the bupe has poor bioavaillabilty 5-10% max. Naloxone is absorbed by the stomach rather well, so it looks like in your case the naloxone beat the bupe. It doesn't happen very often. I feel for you. It sucks. I hate naloxone. Which is why I'm on Subutex. I ne...

I'm trying to find out if the mylan brand subutex compares to the roxan brand 8 mg subutex is close to the same size. The pharmacy ran out of roxan 8 mg subutex and gave me the hi tech brand and I was surprised at how small they were. I quarter up the 8 mg subutex because more then that is a waste, IMO, and I've been doing it this way for months because it helps me not use as much. quartering a hi tech is impossible, very small pill, so my pharmacy said their warehouse was unable to get the roxan 8 mg subutex any more but could get the mylan brand 8 mg subutex so I'm trying to find out if the mylan subutex is close to the same size as the roxan brand subutex!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have been getting the generic Subutex Roxane brand 54 411 Buprenorphine tablets for months now from Walmart pharmacy and the past two times I've gotten my prescription filled there, I was given a different generic made by Hi Tech with an 8 and an arrow. I asked them why the change because those little tablets just are not the same and they said the Roxane ones could not be ordered. I called around to other pharmacies I have gotten my prescription filled at before also and was also told that the Mylan M 924s can no longer be ordered either. What's going on with the Roxane and Mylan Buprenorphine tablets? Did they stop making them or is there some kind of shortage? I had the choice of getting the small Hi Tech tablets which seem alot less potent than the Roxane or the Actavis 15...

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas own...

Is there a difference between 54 411 tablets and the orange half moon subutex? My son seems to think the 54 411 makes him sick. I've been on Subs for a while and i just received the Mylan 924 for the first time... I've been with Roxanne 54_411 for some time now... Does anyone have an opinion as far as which manufacturer is better. Or what's your opinion personally? ## Hi Strawz, Although I haven't taken Subutex (buprenorphine), I did want to offer an outsider's opinion when it comes to switching tablets or manufacturers in general. The truth of the matter is that each tablet can affect each person differently, which would in essence render any feedback null as there's no way to determine if you will experience the same benefits or side effects as someone else, until you take it and know for yourself. I think this is largely due to the seemingly ever-changing list of inactive ingredients (...

round white pill 54 411 on one side and the other blank ## its an 8mg generic subutex, same as suboxone ## This is a Generic Subutex OPIOD pill used to treat opiod dependence as in heroin addicts, etc. Sort of like Methadone. These pills are very very new as generics and hard to find, they were released by roxane pharmacuticals on october 9th of 2009. They are made with Talc (non-biodegradeable) instead of the non generic originals which are made with the better ingredient corn starch! ## Thank you for providing that information, these do seem to be very new, as I can't find a listing for this marking anywhere. While Buprenorphine is most commonly used to treat addiction, it can also be used to treat some cases of severe pain, in which other medications have stopped helping or faile...

33 year old female with first 4 pregnancys healthy babies..then put on suboxone and have had 5 miscarriages...doctor is not very educated and would not put me on subutex...anybody else heard of naloxone causing multiple miscarriage? ## Hello, Roxanne! Sorry about the miscarriages, that's so sad. Neither the Buprenorphine or the Naloxone in Suboxone have been shown to cause harm to the fetus, but they haven't been shown to be safe, either. Learn more Suboxone details here. From what I'm reading the only reason a pregnant women is usually switch to Subutex is to just lessen the possible risks, if any, by only exposing the baby to one medication, rather than 2. I've been going to a clinic for almost a year now and each time I get prescribed 8mg Subutex. When I would fill my prescription I would receive 54 411 white tablets. Today when I picked it up I got M 924 white tablets. The only difference I've found is the manufacturer. The manufacturer for the 54 411 is ROXANE and for the M 924 is MYLAN. Are they pretty much the same pill just different imprint/manufacturer? ## I'm trying to figure out the same issue!! ## Yes, these tablets are just manufactured by different companies, which so very common with generics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. It has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and c...

Someone told me my wife's subutex were fake because they saw a half of a tablet and it only had the 54 half showing. I found it hard to believe because they came from the pharmacy and all the rest look fine. Actually other than it being cut in half it looks fine as well. It has the same color shape and imprint other than the 411 side being cut off. Any ideas on how to either prove or disprove these accusations because i just highly doubt the pharmacy is giving anyone fake and/or counterfeit medicine. ## If you received them from a licensed U.S. pharmacy, then there is no reason to think they are fake. They are manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list them as being 8mg sublingual Buprenorphine tablets, a generic for Subutex. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate th...
