Well, I'm 17 and I'm an adolescent!! So I won't to make sure this medicine isn't for adults only. And I've been overemotional and sensitive all my life. Depression is very common in my family. I've never taken an anti-depressant before. My depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the part of my brain that controls my emotions and how I feel, which is made worse because I was born premature. I also have trouble sleeping and getting motivated every day. So I want to know if the medicine called Rispadol is right for me and won't have any lasting side effects on my behavior or make me feel more depressed. Your help would be much appreciated!! ## Did you mean Risperdal? It is a potent antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health issues, as well...

a drug for ADHD/Bipolar ## Rispidol is a scary drug that no one should take. They tried to push it on me for Depression. The doctors won't tell you the more severe side effects unless you lean on them, then they'll say it's rare. It made me feel like a zombie. More severe effects include: NEUROLEPTIC MALIGNANT SYNDROME which causes paralysis, seizure, and death: THERE IS NO KNOWN TREATMENT OR CURE. Also TARTIVE DYSCONESIA which causes uncontrolable twitching, especially of the face. Again , no known treatment or cure for T.D, it either goes away on it's own, or is PERMANENT !! My source is the PHYSICIANS DESK REFERENCE {2003]. ## Is this drug the same as Risperdal? ## Yes, they just spelled it wrong. ## Thanks. I have seen this spelling done incorrectly by a prescribing ...

don't take it will kill you or damage you It ruined my eye sight, blurred vision, tinnitus, headaches, falling over, dizzy all from 6 shots of this over 50 side effects and no cure for them ## Hello, Shane! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. The FDA lists Risperdal as a very potent antipsychotic and such medications are well known to cause some problematic side effects, in some people that take them. Other side effects may also include nausea, dry mouth, weight gain and sedation. However, the issue with side effects is that they will wear off, they tend to improve over time, as your body gets used to a medication and will also go away, once you stop taking it, though it may take a few weeks. How long have you been off of it?

I was on risperidone from 2002 to 2003 then quit because my dad doesn't believe I'm mental health. I have now started it again in 2011 to present. I am currently on 6 MG and have not had a period for over a year. Has anyone experienced this? I haven't been ovulating either. I want to have another baby and was wondering if I'll start ovulating again. I would quit taking it while pregnant but can't get pregnant while on it. Will it ever go away? Will I ever have another baby? Any advice and experience stories would be great. ## Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?
