I need to know if my Oxycodne IR 15mg light green pill with M oneside-15other side, with a indent center line is extended release . I am detoxing soon and is really important as I reduce down from apx 160mg(2are60mg long release) W/5mg for breakthru pain. Dr is retiring and I had scripts for all. ## IF it is oxycodone 15mg IR hints the IR that means instant release unless you have your pills confused that narcotic is a instant release form,Oxycontin stands for continous release so if it is oxycodone then it is not extened release. ## This tablet is actually neither the immediate release, nor the extended release, it is just the regular release 15mg, generic for Roxicodone. Some of the most common side effects to this medication can include: nausea, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness...

Hi, it's Kel again. I wrote earlier but now I am here with a different topic amd would like some opinions. I was recently switched (2 days ago actually) from being on Percocet 10-325 4xd to MSContin 15er & Percocet 7.5 4xd for BT. My Dr. was going to go ahead & start me at 60 mg of the MSContin and take my Percocet down. I freaked out due to just beinh another "new" drug. I habe to many chronic conditions to write but I can honestly say I am about to have 2 major surgies. And he is wanting me to get that Neuro Implant device. My question is, this is just my 3rd dose of the MSContin (morphine sulf er 15 mg) and I am truly not feeling that much of pain relief even when I take my now reduced Percocet dosage. I am on other medications as well, Klonopin being one. I think...

started taken meloxicam 15mg a week tomorrow, for psoratic arthritis it has not reduced the pain, do I need to take it longer before it kicks in. also i have cramp in my hands and pins & needels ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies this medication as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. That said, it should have started to help right away, similar to Tylenol or Advil. If not, it's most likely not the right medication to help you and you'll need to see your doctor to try something else. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been prescribe 15mg. of morphine sulphate , one per day. due to lightheadedness is it safe to reduce to every other day. ## Hello, Sinclair! How are you doing? It should be okay to do so, as long as your doctor approves. Is this a time released formulation or a regular release tablet? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

ive been working to reduce my daily methadone dosage for a year now, as I've been on maintenance. I'm down from 55 mg daily to only 15mg at this point and soon enough will be free of its clutches. I've been maintaining a clean lifestyle and I don't need a lecture on addiction. My question is--can Belviq be taken with Methadone? My doctor says it completely negates any opiate based or nRcotic pain medications in the brain. Last thing I need is to be thrown into sudden horrible withdrawals. For those of you unfamiliar with the methadone maintenance treatment, you must taper from it verrrrry slowly because it has a half life in the brain of up to three days. So does anyone have advice on HOW this medication works with opiate type pain medications like Vicodin, Norco, Oxycod...

I have been on 15mg Prednisone now for 10 months and my team of specialists want me to quit cold turkey will this cause issues for me? I tried to reduce down to 13mg a while back but suffered severe back oain and confusion after only reducing by 2mg... ## Lani --- i don't think its a good idea to go off Prednisone cold turkey. Your adrenal system needs to adjust slowly -- reducing by 11/2 to 2 mg a week would be better until your down to 5 mg. Then you might be able to stop cold turkey. ## I actually agree but today they went ahead and did it anyway so I am no longer allowed to have any prednisone. My blood pressure has dropped and I tried to use a zimmer frame to walk with (because I was dizzy and light headed and the lower back pain was horrendous) and that was fine until I sat on...

I was prescribed Prednisolone to treat Polymyalgia 11 years ago. Initially I took 15mg a day which was quickly reduced to 10 and gradually to 5mg. I have tried gradually reducing the dose many times in the intervening years but always ended up with a severe return of the original problem. I have now managed to reduce the dose to 4mg daily. My condition is aggravated by my having type 2 Diabetes for which I take insulin because of the steroid treatment. I have recently noticed swelling in my legs and ankles during the evening more especially during periods of hot weather. Also my stomach and breasts seem enlarged. I am trying again to reduce the dose but am concerned about long term effects. Any comments or advice would be appreciated. ## You may always have to take a medication to treat...

I've been working to reduce my reliance on pain medications with my doctor's help. I've been able to come down from 200mg morphine sulfate to 15mg MS Contin. The doctor said he was happy where I was but I wanted to try and go further. He wrote a script for 10mg Kadian since a lesser dose of MS Contin wasn't available. Unfortunately, my doc's son died suddenly and he's away. I cannot find a pharmacy that is able to fill this prescription. I live in a metro area. He had said if I had trouble filling it thinking my insurance might not cover it to call him and he'd write the script for my old dosage of MS Contin. He's not available and will be out approx. 2 months. He came in to write this month's scripts for his patients but his staff neglected to mentio...

I've taken 15mg of meloxicam for years for joint pain. I can tell a big difference when I have to stop taking it for medical procedures. Is there a risk in use for years and is it addictive? My doctors office called today to reduce to 7.5mg daily. ## Hello, PB! How are you? The FDA classifies this medication as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so no, it's not addictive in the same sense that an opiate can be, but your body does get used to anything you take on a regular basis for a long period of time and suddenly stopping it will be noticeable and may result in some minor withdrawal effects, such as aches, pain, headaches and diarrhea. As to risks with long-term use, yes, there are some, such as stomach ulceration and liver damage, or failure. Is there anything else I can help...

I have reduced my pain medication over the past few years from around 8-10 immediate release Percocet a day, (which in retrospect seems kinda crazy for my intractable pain), to 3 morphine er 30's a day, with 2 15mg IR's for breakthrough pain. Desperately trying to reduce them had been MY desire, not doctors. That being said, my constant, chronic pain was hard to manage at 3 ER's a day, so my doctor had raised then to 4 a day. That dosage seemed perfect for me, and after a long time, had enabled me to work and try to get my life back on track after years of suffering. I've moved recently, (which means new doctors, so you know the drill), and he had immediately reduced what was finally working, back down to 3 a day. I should mention that just before moving, I had requested th

I have been on 15mg of Xarelto along with 40mg of Crestor for approximatley 8 months and have suffered through a distended abdomen and burning and aching in my hips, legs and feet. After blood tests and scans ruled out anything sinister I chose to stop taking Crestor altogether. Within a week my abdomen was no longer distented and much of the pain in my hips and legs reduced to a point where I actually got some sleep. I have now started back doing my walking and concentrating on eating everything right but my weight inexplicably is going up and up.
