Qualitest Hydrocodone Yellow Tablet With V On It

What is the difference between qualitest brand Hydrocodone/Acet 10/325 with a V on one side and 36 01 on the other side of this yellow pill, as opposed to Mallinckrodt white pill with the same strength? The Mallinckrodt pills give me lots of bad side effects and do not help my pain as well as the Qualitest ones do. ## I also got my yellow 10/325's switched to the Mallinckrodt white by RiteAid. I have severe chronic pain and the white ones don't have much effect. How do I find the yellow ones? Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). Watson 10/325 yellow Norco has worked for 13 years - the white tablets I fillled are not helping WHATSOEVER. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpet tunnel in both wrists,3 herniated discs, 2 bulging discs and 3 fuses discs in my neck among a few problems. This is horrible - between this & the Qualitest bad pills that made me sick last month along with NO pain relief my Dr. is saying he is going out on a limb for me - no one is going out on a limb - we are simply standing up and stating obvious fraudulent pills being sold as pain relief when there is NONE. I was prescribed Vicodin for a dental implant and as given the hydrocodon acetominiphen 7.5-325, and had a reaction to them..It caused itching all over and wheezing. I have been prescribed Qualitest yellow 10/325 Norco for over a year now for my Fibromyalgia and only take one pill at night which has helped my pain level tremendously. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that has worked for me as I have tried a few others they just upset my stomach and give me headaches. I just recently picked up my new prescription and something is VERY wrong with this new prescription. Normally I don't have any side effects but this batch, my stomach hurts when I take them and they just give me a massive headache. I have absolutely no pain relief like I always have in the past. I usually get the yellow V 36 01 when I fill my 10mg Norco. This time they gave me white V 36 09. ## Hi debra, The V 36 09 white pill is a new version made by Qualitest that only recently came out on the market; which is why information seems scarce at the moment. Qualitest's hydrocodone/apap 10/325 V 36 01 makes me itch & causing head and ear congestion. ## Sometimes the fillers in these pills can cause allergic reactions, such as that which you mentioned in your description. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. Have you considered contacting your doctor or pharmacy about switching brand names or manufacturers? I used to get the yellow qualitest norcos but since the new laws the only thing available is the malli 357 or the Watson white. The yellow worked perfectly long lasting pain relief for my inoperable discs problems. The 357 make you really high feeling for 2-3 hours and then wear off, the Watson give me headaches. I tried to get the yellows again but my pharmacy says they are to expensive to order & not covered by insurance. But my low income friends on public assistance get them free how does that make sense? I got these from the va this month instead of the ones I hated..( the ones marked M367)...they look the same as the yellow hydro by qualitest...except they're white & the numbers are different... I’m SUPER conserned because my pharmacy has switched from the yellow Qualitest Norco to 2 different brands I must choose from: Tris Pharma & Lupin Pharma. They are 10/325 Norco. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, fibromyalgia, back surgeries in past and I’m told in future. I can’t stand the idea of being in pain all month. Any advise on which brand to get? I have been given the white Watson brand and the other white ones that say M367 (I think it’s a 7 at the end) they were 10/325 non the less. I've been on pain management for many years due to chronic pain from degenerative arthritis and fibromyalgia. Taking 10/325 Qualitest/Par that worked for pain with no side effects. Helping to live a quality life. Last month I was given Lupin white 10/325. Terrible side effects. Borderline migraines, anxiety, tightness, little pain relief, lack of hunger and crying in pain in the night. Called many pharmacies to try and find the yellow Norco meds that work, no luck.
