Can i use Pliva 334 to cure an std? If so witch ones?
I have an std & i still have some Pliva 334 left from a track infection, i would like to know if i can use this to cure the std or if i have to buy more medicine. please help. ## The tablet marked Pliva 334 contains 500mgs of Metronidazole, which is an antibiotic, but it is generally only effective at treating certain infections. Are there any other questions? ## Pilva is normally given to treat mostly non sexually transmitted infections such as your uti and others caused by bacteria. Pliva 334 treatment
can the bacterial infection be passed by intercourse? ## When you say "the bacterial infection", are you referring to something specific or just an infection in general? All sorts of bacteria (infection or not) can pass itself along during sexual intercourse. For this reason protection is just as important in this case as it is when avoiding pregnancy. (Plive 334) Metronidazole is used in the treatment of diverticulitis; bacterial infection, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginitis, and more. I wouldn't recommend using it however unless you have no other means of protection and you are aware that this other individual does have an infection of some sort. I only say this because prescription antibiotics can really take their toll on the body. They are usually taken for up 7 days c... ...

Metronidazole sex question
How long after taking pliva 334 for 7 days could someone engage in sexual intercourse with their partner? ## I think it depends on the reason why the person is taking Metronidazole? If it is bacterial vaginitis or some other sort of infection that might interfere with intercourse, then in my opinion, it would be in both partner's best interest to wait till Metronidazole treatment is fully finished and maybe even take caution a few days afterwards to allow their body to heal from the infection. I would personally feel comfortable after the 10th day, knowing that my partner has pretty much fully recovered from whatever infection it was; but that's just me and I'm sure others wouldn't want to wait an extra 3 days Lol! It may also be best for this person to just go off of ho... ...
