ROUND WHITE PILL WITH THE IMPRINT A ON ONE SIDE AND 12 ON THE OTHER ## This is Metformin 500mgs, a generic for Glucophage. This is a drug used to treat Diabetes. ## I take 500 metformin for my diabetes, and its usually a oblong pill. the pharmacy gave me a round pill with A on one side and 12 on the other. is this right?? thanks

Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just got a refill of my metformin HCL 500 mg tabs and noticed a very strong odor coming from them when I open the bottle (never smelled any odor prior - been taking for several yrs). I'm trying to find out if this can be normal. Also never noticed the markings before....the tab is round with an A on one side and a 12 on the other. Is it possible I was given the wrong medication?

Can you tell mw what it is? ## The pills are birth control. The little white ones are the placebo and the blue ones are the actual birth control. It is not a controlled substance.

Any negative side effects? ## Lexitrol A12 is a supplement product, not a medication, this means that it is not actually proven to help with anything, in addition the side effect profiles for it are not studied, as is done for prescription medications. It is listed as containing: Panex Ginseng, Maca and Zinc. They claim it helps with erectile dysfunction, but these ingredients are available over the counter, in many products and if they really had some type of effect for men, someone would have noticed by now. Are there any other questions or comments?

I'm on Xolair for my asthma and I also have liver damage from a blood transfusion, which gave me Hep C. Does this medication cause more damage?
