tratment of myelofibrosis with Ruxolutinb
I have stage 3 advanced Myelofibrosis and have been taking Ruxolitinib (Jakafi) for almost 9 weeks. I have had almost 50% reduction in my spleen size and my bloods have returned to close to normal. I am seeing Dr Patrick Tan at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and I am paying for the treatment myself as I do not have medical insurance. A bottle of 60 x 5mg pills costs me Singapore$3,450.00 and I get a VAT refund when I leave Singapore if I have not opened the drug before I depart. I am taking 4 x 5mg twice a day so it is quite expensive but the results have been terrific. I can highly recommend yhr hodpital and specialist in Singapore. ## Dear Steve, My mom needs Jakafi too, where I can find it in Singapore at $3,450? Thank you so much, I'm from Chile ...

triangle shaped green pill w/Fe on both sides
I just want to know if these pills are dmx or what ## Based on my research, I am finding that there are certain counterfeit green triangle pills in the USA & UK being sold as "E" that actually contain a substance known as DXM (Dextromethorphan). If this is the case, most people who've tried them by mistake (thinking they were "E"), strongly recommend staying away from it since the side effects are reported to be harsh on the liver and other body functions. However, at the same time I'm not finding anything listed with a marking of "Fe"; just the green triangle-shaped pill... Could this even be something else you got from overseas by chance? ...

what can I use so i will not go thru withdrawal
Ive been on hydrocodone for 9 months due to back surgery. I ran out of them and i get a refill for 2 days. What can i do? Pls help. ## Hi Drakee, Is there anyway you can return to the same doctor who's been prescribing this to you for the past 9 months, and let him know what's really going on with your increased risk for withdrawals? I believe most (if not all) doctors should have a clear understanding that if you stop taking hydrocodone too abruptly or if you were to decrease your dosage too soon, it could induce serious withdrawal symptoms. A refill of two days worth just doesn't seem like an appropriate call on their part. But I suppose if all else fails, there are various approaches that doctors may be able to help with, in so far as lessening the severity or onset of wi... ...

Can I Take Amitriptyline With Methotrexate
Can i take amitriptyline with methotrexate and prednisone? ## Based on my findings there is an interaction between methotrexate and prednisone. This interaction states the following: "MONITOR: Although they are often used together in clinical practice, limited data suggest that corticosteroids may increase the risk of methotrexate toxicity. Individual cases of severe and fatal bone marrow suppression and fatal systemic moniliasis have been reported. Data have been conflicting. A pediatric study found no increased methotrexate toxicity; however, hepatic enzyme elevations were noted. The mechanism is unknown. MANAGEMENT: Close monitoring for signs and symptoms of bone marrow suppression and nephrotoxicity is advisable during concomitant administration. Patients should be advised to re... ...

I take 1 Doxycycline a day to prevent broncitis and the Dr put me on Sulfameth TMP today is it safe to take these two antibiotics at the same time?? ## Hi Judi, Based on my research in the drug databases, there are no drug interactions found between Doxycycline and Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. More information about each of these drugs can be viewed in the links below: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add regarding this. ## I was just prescribed both medications and all I have to say is if you don't want to throw up every time you take them, then dont take them at the same time. ...
