I JUST GOT A REFILL ON MY METFORMIN. THE NEW NAME ON IT IS AMNEAL AND IT IS LIKE NOT TAKING ANYTHING AT ALL. MY SUGARS HAVE BEEN IN THE 340 RANGE. MY SUGARS HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS HIGH. With sugar levels that high, you need to see your doctor. If the pills from Amneal aren't working for you, you may need to switch to a different medication for awhile. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. Are you on any other medications? ## I have the same problem with Amneal Metformin...it's like I'm not taking anything at all.
