I normally take 2 Oxycod/apap = Percocet up to 6 a day. I am prescribed oxycodone 30 mg tablets every month. I ran out a few days early and I just wanted to know if I could take 10 mg Percocet in the same quantity to keep my levels up? ## The problem with taking so much Percocet is the Acetaminophen in it. The FDA lists the maximum recommended daily dose it to no more than 3,000mgs and taking 9 Percocet in a day would come really close to that. I have a few pills that I think are Percocet/Oxycodone 10mg. They are blank/plain on one side. The other side is scored and has 104 printed on the scored side. I ran out of oxycodone will Percocet replace the oxycodone ## Hi Barbara, The Percocet will not be identical to Oxycodone, because it also contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen as well. More over, a closer comparison would also depend on what dose of Oxycodone you were taking, since the maximum amount of Oxycodone that they put in Percocet is 10mgs. Are you getting Percocet from the same doctor who wrote your script for Oxycodone? If so, he/she should be able to help you determine what amount you should be taking in order to provide adequate pain relief. I hope this helps!

I have been on Percocet 10/650 for around 8 yrs. now for my back. They cannot do surgery because the bone and discs in my spine are not strong enough to hold any type of device. They have now changed it to Oxycodone 15 mg but doesn't seem to help. Is Oxycodone 15 stronger than the Percocet 10/650? I am NOT looking for drugs and the high that some give. My profession is very important to me and I would NEVER risk loosing it due to drugs, however, I am on my feet for at least 12 hrs. a day on concrete. Ok I'm talking 10mg of oxycodone, they are very tiny and pink. My question is I hear people say they take 5/500....or some numbers like that and their round and white. What is the difference? My Dr told me to take two in the morning and 2 in the evening. If a doctor writes no substation, will medicaid pay? My mom said these don't help her. She used to have ip204, now this v 4829. I understand these are generic but not helping. What does she do? ## If the dr writes on the prescription Brand Name Medically Indicated, then Medicaid will pay for it. But, it requires a Prior Authorization that only the dr can do. If the dr doesn't do the Prior Authorization and Medicaid doesn't approve it, Medicaid will not pay for it.

I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that? ## The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? I've been on oxycodone 10/325 for a little over a year now from a botched foot surgery and diabetic neuropathy in this same foot. I'm prescribed 10 mg Oxycodone for chronic pain and have taken them for about four years. This month I've had several bouts of GI issues, with fever, vomiting and diarrhea. The pills aggravated the nausea and vomiting, so I stopped taking them and tried to get by on Tylenol and Advil. I called the nurse to report that I was not taking the meds and why. Instinct tells me I should report to them anytime there is a situation which would impact my drug panel. By the second day, I identified different types of pains, separate from the illness I was experiencing. Out of curiosity what is stronger Percocet 7.5 (325 mg) or Oxycodone 10 mg Immediate Release (IR)? I know the only difference between these two is one has Acetaminophen and one doesn’t. The 7.5 mg Perc didn’t say if it was IR or (Extended Release) ER. If needed more details I’ll explain replying to your post(s). Someone gave me this pill and said it is a oxycodone/percocet 5/325. I have never seen this before and someone else told me that it could be a naproxin can someone tell me what this pill is??? I found a half of a pill in my bottle of men's and can't remember what it was. I am thinking it's from when I had surgery on both hands.
