Do you happen to have this pill in your possession? I was thinking perhaps one of the numbers got misinterpreted, because the closest match I can find is a large white oblong pill with P225 stamped on it. The "P225" oblong white tablet is listed as Magnesium Salicylate (467.2 mg), an OTC analgesis for back pain relief. I've been on oxycodone 10mg for several years. My pain management doc has been reducing my prescription by 5 pills each month to get me down to just 120 per month. Next month I will be at the 120 mark. I've been complaining as that 1 less per day makes a difference in managing my pain daily. A few months ago my pharmacy switched their supplier and the new pills won't cut. They literally shatter on one side leaving me about 3/4 of a pill & crumbs. So now my doctor is suggesting I go on Percocet 10/325mg. I know the 325 is acetaminophen. But what is the difference between Oxy & Percocet? I changed pharmacies and now my Percocet's look different. I was getting a oval white pill with the A333 imprint and now I got a white round pill with 10 325 RP. I don't know what the differences are but I would like to know before I take them. ## It's just a different manufacturer. The ones you are getting now (RP 10/325) are better in my opinion. My perscription called for 10/325 and I have for the pass 15 years been taking Watson 932. Now I have a yellow tablet by Alvogen, Inc. with a strength 325/10. Is there a difference? 3601 yellow oblong pill with aslash inthe middle opposite side a v shaped emblem ## The pill in description is actually a generic Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone bitartrate 10mg). The difference is that Percocet contains Acetaminophen + Oxycodone, as opposed to Hydrocodone; but both medications are used to treat moderate to severe pain. I have two different yellow c 230s side by side and with the 230 straight across lined up side to side and flip perfectly around and the c's don't line up and one has specs of something and looks old and the are not hard hard nor do they snap when broken. ...? ??? ## The pill description you provided is indicative of generic 10/325 Oxycodone HCL + Acetaminophen; made by Alvogen. Percocet contains the active ingredients Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, and the maximum dosage of it available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Is that correct? ## There are actually many on the market, because it is available as a generic and how it will look, will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. There are also several with the 10/325 marking, so it depends what the other markings are on the tablet. One that is very commonly available on the market in this dosage, 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, is a yellow, oblong tablet with the 10/325 on one side and E712 on the other. Percocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and neither of them are in any of the available prescription doses in 25mgs. The max on the Oxycodone is 10mgs and the minimum on the Acetaminophen is 325mgs. The letters on a pill also do not necessarily denote what they are. That said, I cannot find this listed in any of our databases. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? Can you also tell us that shape?

Are this the same class meds? Same family? ## Yes, they both contain the narcotic Oxycodone. The difference is that the Percocet combines it with Acetaminophen, in the dose you mentioned it's 10mgs with 325mgs of Acetaminophen and it's a regular release formulation, while the Oxycontin contains 40mgs of Oxycodone, by itself, in a 12 hour time released formulation.
