After taking doxycycline and not remaining upright for 30 minutes and not drinking or eating enough when taking the pill, I have been experiencing heartburn. I was wondering if anybody knew how long the heartburn would go on for and what I could do to help it. ## Hello, Catherine! How are you? Sorry that you're having this problem, there are very good reasons such warnings are on these medications. What have you tried to treat it so far? Have you consulted your doctor? How often have you done this and how severe is the heartburn? I didn't find any interactions listed between it and Pepcid, which is available over the counter, but you need to check with your doctor to make sure that it's safe for you to take.

My wife has a lingering infection in one lung. Dr. said small amount of pneumonia, prescribed 2 a day of Doxycycl 100 mg. cap. Coughing has subsided but feels weak, no pep. Is this a side effect that will leave once she has finished medication ## That is actually a normal way to feel anytime you are sick or have an infection and your body is fighting it off, even if you don't take meds for it. I was DX with H.pylori and given 4 meds. Doxycycline 2x a day. Omeprazole 2x a day. Metronidazole 4x a day. And pepto bismo tablets 4x a day. I don't have a clue how to take them . Most people get a kit. And I imagine that it's taken at all together . Please help! ## Hello, Racheal! How are you? I had intimate relations with my boyfriend and the condom broke. I have only been in a one month relationship with him so I don't trust him. I went in for PEP (HIV PROFOLAXIS).
