while going to bed for sleeping at night i could not sleep due to feeling of burning in my both eyes then i have to try to release gas from my stomach thru my mouth.this process takes about half an hour & while releasing gas from the mouth it comes with a shouted vioce which distrubes not only to my family members but nieghbor also. i take my lunch before 10 am dinner before sun set every day after that i do not take any food except milk & fruits up to 9 pm.i have taken all medicines of all tpye of pathy but i could n't get any relief since last 15 years.

My mother is of age 68 years and has been taking pantocid(40 mgs) for past 6 years , (twice or thrice in a week). Because she gets burning in throat / chest. I have not been able to find a medicine that helps with what my doctor thinks is Gerd. The last medicine was protonix and within 21/2 weeks I am having side effects. Ankles are spasming as well as hands however I have spondilosis. I have never had spasms in these areas until protonix and I still have food that gets stuck and continuous hiccups. I was prescribed by a doctor to tale proton 40. However i did not understand first the instruction of the pharmacist, all i was able to understan was to tale it BEFORE FOOD. And so i did it last night before eating, but now that I read the leaflet, it shows that i should be drinking it 1 hour before breakfast, i already have breakfast, is it still ok to take it? Because it says here that if your forgot to take proton 40, do not tale it late but continue it with the next regular dose on your dosing schedule.
