I tam allowed three a day...not a lot of relief ## There is no immediate release 10mg Oxycodone tablet, the immediate release is only available as a 5mg tablet. Learn more Oxycodone details here. If you have a 10mg tablet, it's either a regular release, or an extended release which would be Oxycontin. There is a small, pink, round tablet with the marking K 56 that contains 10mgs and its a regular release tablet, which means it will take 20 to 30 minutes to start having an effect in the body. There's also one with ETH 461 on it that's pink and is another 10mg regular release tablet. Do either of those match the tablets you have? ## The pink round Oxycodone I take supposed to be generic and a... ...

I am a vet from the war that has no end in sight, I am not special just a soldier like many of you out there. I was shot in the right shoulder and it came out my chest. I was very lucky. Anyway I have been on 40 mg x two a day of oxycontin for 3 years well it was working fine and controlling my pain. Now I am taking the same meds but on the pill it says op not oc. It is almost like I am not on any pain meds at all. I don't think my dr. Has a clue about the change in the formula. He wants to give me more op. but I must have become immune to the meds and I want to know if any one has had any success with a drug called daliade I know that is not the proper spilling but I was hoping some one out there has experience with this type of pain relief med. Is this pill immediate release or control releassed and Up too how many milligrams can you take at once how many hours apart ? ## Hello, Erin! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by KVK Tech and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, so it starts working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to how much you can take and when to take it, you should follow your doctor's instructions. Much of it depends on your pain levels and opiate tolerance. How are you? Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so the dosages are not equivalent, which likely explains why you are in pain. Withdrawal from Oxycodone
6 Replies RSS
I've been taking oxycodone 10 mg for the last five months. Today is my first day without. How long will it take to get it out of my body. ## It takes about a week for the withdrawals to go away. If you have gabapentin, double up on that, it will take away nearly all of your withdrawals away. ## @Debbie (thread starter), According to nih.gov, Oxycodone's elimination half life ranges from 3-4 hours in its immediate release form. Given this information, you can do some math to get a general idea of how long it might take to be completely excreted. For example: A 10mg dose could dwindle down to a mere 0.00072mg within about 24 hours, based on a 3 hour half life (dividing the dose in half, and half of every subsequent half every 3 hours). As post #1 suggested, my findings also indica... ...

which is stronger oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-650 mg oroxycodone 15mg 1mm rel?and are these same as generics you get because if insurence? ## The 15mg immediate release contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, it is the generic for OxyIR. The other one you mentioned contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. Thus, in reference to the Oxycodone, the immediate release one is stronger, however, which one is better for you depends on what condition is being treated. If your condition involves swelling that is contributing to the pain, then the one with the Acetaminophen will be more helpful, since it can help reduce inflammation. Side effects are similar to both, since they both contain Oxycodone and may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constip... ...

This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!! On top of all of those, my body attacks itself 24/7!! Over the years the doctors have tried a ridiculous amount of different pain medications. I called it the 'medication game', & it was anything but fun!! Either there was minimal to no relief with them, or they made me feel awful! They tried everything from Percocet 10mgs, Endocet, Methadone 45mgs per day, oxycontin, Hydromorphine 4mgs tablets & 8 mg tablets, & all medicatons are/were accompanied by Ibproufen 800 mgs capsules. I am very sorry about your loss. While they won't allow a return for a refund, they can safely dispose of them for you, if you take them in and ask them to do so. How long does feeling last he took one and 5 325 oxcodone his arms here but the not the feel he took at 6pm ## Hi Connie, It's a little difficult to understand the entirety of your post due to grammatical errors, but immediate release oxycodone has an estimated half-life of 4 hours - At which point only 2.5mg out of the 5mg would still be active. I believe this is why typical adult dosing charts suggest taking 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed for around the clock pain relief. 5mgs is also the smallest available dosage of oxycodone (at least to my knowledge) - So you could always talk with your doctor about going up to 7.5mg or 10mg if the 5mg isn't sufficient. I hope this helps! ...

Which medication is stronger: 15 mg Morphine ER or 10/325 Oxycodone or Hydrocodone 10/325 ## They are very similar. My doctor has put me on and we've tried to figure out what works. best. I get 10mg Norco & 20mg Oxycodone, and I alternate, it REALLY helps!!! (I have a LOT of medical issues.) ## @birdie, I think as post #1 suggested, you pretty much just have to work with your doctor to find out what best suits your level of pain. Some people debate that oxycodone is a step up from hydrocodone. I think the answer may vary with each individual based on personal preference. And as far as comparing morphine ER to immediate release oxycodone, there's probably no easy way to determine an equivalent dose since one is being slowly released...However if it's of any help, the foll... ...

AZ docs taking ppl off oxycodone, need advice

I am currently taking 30mg oxycodone 4x daily. I have failed back surg syndrome and many other herniated discs in most levels of entire spine. The recent CDC crackdown is effecting the way docs in Arizona write for opiods here. No one wants to write for immediate release oxycodone (from what I've heard, it's due to people overdosing, selling them, and abusing them). I happen to be someone who takes them as prescribed, and I'm being punished bc of the "others who've screwed it up for ppl like me". My new pain management doc wants to move me to Fentanyl Patches (25mcg @ 10/month), Opana ER 10mg quantity of 60/mo, AND morphine ER (not sure of dose). This seems excessive, and that's where I'm going with this. I'm on Medicare with no Rx coverage. My 30mg o... ...

I get sick from pain meds and never taken it before! I'm on oxycodone 10mg immediate release, well my doctor added oxycotin 10mg extended release to it. ## Hello, Lucky! How are you? No, you can't cut or break the Oxycontin tablets. They must be taken whole. These new ones are intended to be tamper proof, to prevent someone abusing them, so it you try to cut or break them, you just end up with a pile of gummy goo that retains all the active ingredient in it and keeps its time released properties. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
