Oxycocet

I am a diabetic with kidney issues. I know I am not supposed to take ibprofin as it harms my kidney. I can take tylinol but need something stronger for pain. would oxycocet 5 325 mg be safe to use? ## Hello, Dink! How are you? Only your doctor can help you decide what would be safe for you to take. Oxycocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are you on another medications? That could also be a factor.

Anyone know where I can find some info on the timescale of tolerance for Ocycocet / percocet? I know the effect diminishes over time (as I very much feel it) but would like to do some research and my beloved google is disappointing me. ## The reason you aren't finding it is because there isn't one. There is no way to establish a time frame for such things, because it is always going to differ from person to person. Everyone's body is different, meaning that any given medication may work longer for one person than for another. It will also vary depending on what is causing their pain and their own sensitivity to such pain. I have a severly Detereriated Disc at the L5-S1,I have been taking 2x325 mg.tabs of Oxycocet (Canadian)3 times a day for pain since OCT.2007. My Doc Keeps Trying Nsaids,&Up till now they have had minimal effect,Other than Stomach Problems. I Talked to a Freind,Who Is An R.N. He asked if I had been on Fentynal .Can Someone tell me if this is a good replacement for the oxycocet?Either my body is building up a tolerance to the OXY.or my Back is getting worse. I have taken a 120 mg of oxycotin every day and I also take oxycocet for breakthru pain my regular Md tells me that I should not be able to feel pain anywhere in my body,is he right and I'm just a big baby or is he full of it. ## You are not a big baby, you are in chronic pain. I take 400 mgs of Oxycontin per day and a whole host of other drugs, including Norco and Oxycodone for BT pain. Find yourself a better Dr or Pain Clinic !

For 6 yrs I've been on OxyContin from a back injury doc's cutting down my pills don't have enough too go for the month . Is there a docotor out there that could give me a stronger dose so that I don't have too take so many during the day?

What is the difference because I was on ratio oxycocets for 4 yrs and just recently I was switched to sandoz oxycodone .. I take the sandoz more cuz I feel not much effects on these ones ..than the ratio oxycocet. ? Why is this ? I purchased Oxycocet in Mexico - (20/325) strength. The pill is round, blue, one side is blank and the other side has a pattern on it. Can't quite make it out. Looks like a partial square with lines on each side and a letter "L" on top. Or it could also be a letter "B" when turned upside down. My new pharmacist ran out of Endocet 5 mg, ad gave me Ratio Oxycocet. She was insisting it's exactlythe same as Endocet, but I can tell the difference. I have to take more tablets of the Oxycocet, as they're not as strong as Endocet. My pharmacist and Shoppers Drug Mart's pharmacists also told me the same thing that Endocet 5 mg is discontinued. Pentagon shaped with "novo"on one side and the number 10 on the other, it resembles cyclobenzaprine but has different markings on it. The bottle said oxycocet but not sure if that is what it actually is. ## This tablet does contain 10mgs of Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxant. i found a very small round light yellow pill with a 4 on one side and a d on the other side..i think it is some kind of pain killer my grandfater also gets oxycocets and tylenol 3's.this was in a un marked container ## I believe the marking is meant to be a P 4 and this tablet contains 4mgs of Hydromorphone, the active ingredient in Dilaudid, this a potent narcotic pain reliever. 5397 ## Hydracodone was prescribed for me after urterine and hernia surgeries almost two years ago. I'm now taking 5 mg. every 8 hrs. I stopped taking this medication for almost three days and experienced an overhelming feeling of gloom and doom, which was more than I could handle and, therefore, I took a pill on the third day.
