Hi, I have used the oralcon pills for a month (21 days) and went off the white pills before I could get my menstruation cycle and now I feel like I am pregnant......is that possible? ## HI, Gertrude! Have you done a pregnancy test? If you went off of them and had intercourse after that, when you weren't taking them, then yes, there is a chance you could be pregnant. They will only protect you from pregnancy as long as you are taking the active tablets. ## hi,have been on the pill for a full week now...so i want to know how it works,,i missed the white one but remembered 2 hrs later...am i at risk? ## nagtake ako ng althea not on the day of my mens. during the 5th day of taking it, i had intercourse with my bf,, is it possible that i could get pregnant? after naubos ko yung pills,, 7...

You can do that, as long as your doctor approves. Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

The thing is that it is out of stock and I was given oralcon as a replacement. My question is, is it safe to change from one contraceptive to the other. ## Yes, there shouldn't be any problem, unless your doctor says otherwise, you should be able to just do a clean switch from one to the other. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for answering my question! The other question I want to ask is, I take my pill at 21:15hrs everyday. But sometimes I forget until the following day. Hi...I'm 21 years old and have been ttc since 2012!this is my second day of taking oralcon pills, the doctor told me it could help with finally conceiving...anyone have any thoughts on this?I hve had tests done and it showed I am ovulating every month!I have a 3month supply of these pills ## Contraceptives are not going to help you conceive, they prevent pregnancy. You won't get pregnant while taking these. Your doctor may have given them to you in hopes that suppressing ovulation for a few months may increase the chances of your getting pregnant, once you're done taking them and you ovulate, again. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That's my thoughts as well!My grandmother took 4 years to fall pregnant with her and but my mom had no problems at all do u think it...

Hey. I forgot to take a white pill a couple days ago but remembered to take it and took it about 5 hours later than i usually do. Will it still be effective? How big can the time gap be before its no use to take it late? Thanx ## Hi, Isa! How are you? Yes, that's basically just taking it late. Missing a pill is usually considered a gap of 24 hours or more, from when you were supposed to take it. So, if you normally take it at 10am, but forgot and didn't realize it until the following day at 10am, when you went to take that one, it would be considered a missed pill. You should double check this information with your doctor, but that's usually the way it works. :-) Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi i started using Oralcon birth control pills yesterday, i started th...

Im using oralcon contraceptive pills. im gaining weight... what can help me not to gain? ## Hi, Boikhutso! Sorry about the problem that you're having. However, there really isn't going to be much you can do about the weight change, as long as you're taking the Oralcon. It contains a synthetic estrogen and those very commonly cause women to gain weight. If you feel that you're gaining to much on this one, you may wish to talk to your doctor about trying a different one. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Even if you join gym. You cant get back to your weight before taking the pills. ## hi I slept with my boyfriend without a condom and was on my period so after 2 days of sleeping with him I started using oralcon. ..will they be affective or I am just waisting my ti...

Hi. I'm currently using Althea pills and I wanted to switch on the Lady pill because it is much cheaper. When should I start taking the Lady pill? Thanks :) ## Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you should be able to just make a clean switch from one to the other, when you finish your current pack of pills. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, spotting, headache, irritability, weight changes, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi There, I have been on Oralcon now for almost a year now. A couple days ago I was taking the red pills and I noticed I missed the last one. I took it 24 hours later with the first white one of the new pack. My question is will I be affected by missing one of the red pills? Will this decrease its effectiveness against preventing pregnancy? ## Hi, Megs! How are you? The red pills at the end of the pack are just placebo tablets that contain no active hormones, they are just meant to allow you to have a withdrawal bleed that week, so there is no harm in missing them. The sole reason they are included is to keep women in the habit of taking a pill each day, so they don't forget when it's time to start the new pack. So no, missing one or more of those ones doesn't matter, you do...

For a few month I have been on the 3months injection then changed to the 2month injection then changed to oralcon because I was bleeding through out the whole year while on the injection so I have been on the pill for about a year or more now I'm off it completey and want to fall pregnant how long will it take for me to fall pregnant?help ## Hello, Tashy! How are you? It could take about three months or so, before you actually ovulate and can possibly get pregnant. The hormonal contraceptives that you were using work by suppressing ovulation and it will take a bit for your body to balance things back out naturally. Have you consulted your doctor?

does oralcon really help with decreasing acne? I'm only trying it out for that reason and I'd prefer not ot if it does not. I have already gotten the pills but I haven't started taking thme yet because I just need a cofirmation from someone who actually does know. Please Help!!! ## I'm sorry, but there's no way to know for sure if they will or will not help you with acne. These contraceptives use synthetic hormones, they can help some people with acne if theirs has been caused by a hormonal issue. However, there is also a chance that they can cause acne or make it worse. What has your doctor advised? Never been pregnant is it safe to use oralcon pills ## HI, Prie! How are you? You don't have to have ever been pregnant to take oral contraceptives, they can be effective for all women. Marital status is also not a factor. Has your doctor advised to take them? There can be some risks associated with them, so you need to check with your doctor to make sure it is okay for you to try them.

I am 43 years old. ## Hello, Lee! How are you? There is no harm in taking them just an hour or so late. That's nothing to worry about, you've generally got a 12 hour window, before it's considered a late pill. Amber, which one are you taking? Hey there , im not 100% sure on how oralcon works . Do you just keep taking the white pill until your period starts(even if its more then 21 days) and then move to the red(when it starts) or take the pack accordingly even if your period has not finished or started as yet , i have been taking the white pill for a month and 2 weeks and i still have not started my period, is this because i have not started the red pill even though im not on my period? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? When you're taking an oral contraceptive, your period is actually a withdrawal bleed, due to not having any hormones that week. So, you take the active tablets for 21 days, then the red for a week, to allow the withdrawal bleed (your period) to occur. Once finished with the red tablets, you go back to taking ...

I have started using oralcon contraceptive pill, I wanna know how they work ## HI, Tshepo! How are you? Oralcon is a hormonal based contraceptive, so they work by adding certain amounts of synthetic estrogen and progesterone to your body to prevent ovulation from occurring each month. That's why you have to take one each day, for 3 weeks until your menstruation week, if you don't, then the drop in hormones may allow ovulation to happen which makes it possible for you to get pregnant.
