3 Topics FoundI have Blod pressure 170/100 doctor prescribe me Olmy-A please give detail information of this drug. Pill contain Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg ## I am taking 1tab. OLMY - 20 along with 1tab. ASOMEX - R (Amlodipine 2.5mg + Ramipril 2.5mg) in the morning between 10-12am just after lunch since last 8 years but my BP continue to remain 160/110 and some times goes as high as 220/120 in both the cases I do not feel uncomfortable. Only yesterday my Doctor advised me to increase the Dose of OLMY from 20 to 40 to take in the morning and ASOMEX - R 1tab in the evening. Is there any one who can guide me properly. ## Vipul, Olmesartan is an ARB and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and both have been proven effective at lowering blood pressure and treating cardiac conditions...

I have been prescribed olmy 40 for hypertension. Is it fine to take two tablets of olmy 20 in place of that ## Yes, if u only have the 20mg tabs then u have to take 2 to make your required dose of 40mg.
