I have a sore throat, running nose & watering eyes. I got Okacet cold from the chemist but was not sure of the dosage. I am 55 years of age & in good health. Prash. ## I am 59 and have a severe throat cold no cough what can I take to clear? hi,i am 24 yrs old,female.i have sore throat & runny nose since today morning.due to this there is difficulty in speaking.i got the above medicine from medical shop ,not prescribed by doctor. ## Have you consulted a doctor? I know the original Okacet contains Cetirizine, which is an antihistamine, but I can't find a listing for the Okacet Cold Total NF and what it contains. Do you have any other information on it?

Okacet Cold contains the active ingredient Cetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylpropanolamine, it is used to treat cold and allergy symptoms. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and stomach irritation. As to a permanent solution, there is no real cure for allergies. Though, sometimes, an immunologist can use shots to help lessen your sensitivity to the relevant allergens. Can i take a Cetrizine hydrocholride 10 mg tablet twice daily for a cold? I am a 60 year old lady. ## This is an antihistamine that is used to treat allergies, it will not help with a cold and the symptoms caused by a cold. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 100% incorrect. Certirizine is incredibly effective for headcolds. It clears sinuses way FASTER than a decongestant.

Hi this is padma..i get married 4 months before..i have dought for this okacet tablets..can i used this tablet for cold,, fever,bodypains... any side effects whenn am gettign pregnent time..i was some fear about this tablets.. ## Well from what I know okacet contains cetrizine which is an anti histamine. Hence it is meant to be taken to temporarily drive away symptoms of allergies like a runny nose, itching and watering of the eyes. Don't think it helps any with fever and body pains. Take a paracetamol to deal with that. Side effect is mainly drowsiness but might cause a heavy head and headache. Won't affect ur fertility or chances of pregnancy. Not to worry. Since a week, I'm suffering from cold, cough & sinus infection. I tried lots of home made medicines, as i always avoid visiting Doctors. But, due to no results, i visited a chemist shop and he gave me Okacet Cold tablets (dosage 1-0-1). Do this really helps in providing relief for cold, cough & sinus infections. ## Okacet Cold contains Acetaminophen, Cetirizine and Phenylpropanolamine. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. I'm using Okacet tablets, and my doctor says me to use it daily. I'm using it for sneezing and a runny nose. I'm taking homeopathic medicine along with it. i have acute sinus problem and the only drug that help me drastically is alerid D it's a miracle worker for me .Lately I can't get them any more since i have been told the drug has been discontinued I will like to know what i can use as a substitute since nothing seems to help me ,something hopefully the same composition as Alerid D .please help me ## give me subsitute of alerid-d ## Alerid D contains: Cetirizine + Phenylpropanolamine.
