When transcribing how many pills a doctor prescribed (eg. 20 pills of aspirin), he says "number 20". Do I write out "number" or do I use the # symbol. ## Well seeing as how this is a federal felony, under DEA supervision, you'd probably want to reconsider writing yourself a prescription...duh. ## @Suzanne, I hope you end up making the right decision. Ash is right about there being many downfalls to forging a prescription. From what I've read, most states do considered it a felony if you write a fake prescription or if you try to modify one in any kind of way. Not only are you subject to being fined tens of thousands of dollars, but you'd also have to look forward to "at least" a year of jail time. I'd also keep in mind that most pharmacists are hi...

I was given a kenalog injection on 12/28/2012. When I got into my car I started reading the paperwork and discovered the shot they had given me was 6 months expired. What should I do? ## If you had any concerns about the safety of expired meds, I think the following information will at least help put you at ease: "According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expir...

small pink number 620 other side looks like a ribon or a r line thru it ## Are you sure it is pink and not blue? The numbers you list and the figure on it matches up to a blue pill with the number 620. Perhaps you have the number or color wrong? ## I'm not the original poster (obviously) but I am trying to id the same pills. It's definitely pink or peach colored and has an R on one side and 620 on the other side. The blue R 620 you're referring to is written on the same side. They aren't crazy. Please look up a medication by lot number TMSA15268-A ## LOOKING FOR A MEDICATION WITH LOT # PRO3150. I THINK IT IS DOCETAXEL. ## At this time I don't think there is any way to look up medication via their lot number. For example, Lot # PRO3150 comes up as a Motorola headset/earpiece accessory which is completely unrelated. Lot # TMSA15268-A also yields nothing. Perhaps an easier approach may be to search for Docetaxel (the medication in question) and see if you recognize the specific tablet by imprint or description? Medications can even be searched by their NDC if you happen to have that information on hand. MedsChat has a National Drug Code Database that can be accessed from the home page. white round pill ## pill 44-144 ## Pills marked with a 44 followed by additional numbers are over the counter items manufactured by LNK International, they do not make any prescription drugs. These are usually sold as generic or store brands. I cannot find an ID on this one, since there is no comprehensive database on OTC items, but it is definitely an over the counter medication of some sort.

Ropinirole numbering "G" on one side - "2" above "55" on the other. What's the dosage. Been taking 2 Mg for years, got new supply with above numbering, took same dose had nausa, vomiting, hot flashes felt like an overdose. ## The tablets with this marking contain 1mg of Ropinirole, but there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient in generic medications, so if you took 2, then you may have gotten a little more than your body is used to having, which may have caused the problems you experienced. Have you talked to the pharmacy? They may be able to order the ones in for you from the prior manufacturer.

I had testosterone inj's. at my Drs, office and the chart only lists a lot number. How can I find out if these inj's. were generic or brand name drugs? ## @BillyG, From what I could gather, lot numbers are issued by the manufacturer of the medication. Apparently each batch of whatever product these manufacturers make are assigned this unique set of numbers to help them monitor and keep track of certain drugs that require recalls, shipping orders, or other important measures. One article I read suggested that it be thought of as a medication's social security number in that sense. I think the only way to know for sure what you were given at the doctor's office that day would be to call in or ask during your next appointment. I hope this helps!

Found these brown and yellow capsles. They do not have any markings on the capsle. The package has a lot number 900025-1 and a epir. date. Thanks for any help. ## I'm afraid I cannot help you with just the lot #. That can be an internal thing used to track certain manufacture runs of the product, so the same # could be used for more than one company for more than one product. If there are no markings on the capsules, it will be virtually impossible to positively identify them, unless you would pay to have them lab tested. These could be any one of a number of over the counter items or foreign medications. Where were they found?
