Does anyone know of a good generic brand of norco 7.5/325? I have tried Qualitest an it doesn't work very well. My DR. approved brand name but the cost was $191.00 up front before they would even order it ... I realize there is a drug problem, but what are old people with serious back problems suppose to do? ## Hello, Nicki! How are you? That's unusual, most pharmacies keep a small supply of the name brand on hand for when someone comes in with such a prescription. What did the pharmacist say, or did you try calling any other local pharmacies? The FDA warns that this medication carries a risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Qualitest always worked well for me, but everyone is different. Can anyo...

was taking generic Norco was always feeling very stranged, like I was sluggish. Now was given brand and all of those feeling have disappeared and is working better. is there a difference, for some say it's all the same ingredients. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? The ingredients are the same, but the amount may not necessarily be equal. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, a generic can differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients. While that's not really a huge difference, it may be enough that the name brand works much better for you. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there any...

White small oblong pill with ip110; norco. Why it doesn't work as good as watson? ## This tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Norco. NDC: 53746-110 This tablet is made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. As to why it may not work as well as the ones made by Watson, well, it is a generic version of the drug. I know when you are given a generic or read the information pamphlets about them, you are told that they are exactly the same as their name brand counterparts, however, this is done to try to prevent people from being afraid to take needed medications. The truth however, is quite different. Under federal law, generics are allowed to differ in the active ingredient from their name brand counterparst by as much as PLUS OR MINUS 20%. The FDA consi...

Generic Norco don't work near as good as the name brand can I get help paying for the brand name my insurance won't cover it and I suffer from chronic neck and back pain neuropathy also ## Hello, Zachary! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, no. There are no assistance programs currently available for this, since it is available as a generic, as well as the name brand. The best suggestion I have is to speak to your doctor about the issue, they may be able to prescribe an alternative medication that would work better for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I don't want to buy generic norco any more. Which are the brand name ones? ## What is the difference in the inactive ingredients in name brand Norco and generic? ## Sue, Norco/Vicodin is hydrocodone and acetaminophen/tylenol, some people do notice a difference in the different brands. ## Who is the manufacturer of Norco i have somethin real important to tell them about their medicine for real. ## Norco is the name brand, the generic contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Dee, what are the markings on the ones you have been taking? This additional information would enable me to research the manufacturer for you. Can you please po...

I take the Qualitest brand of Norco 7.5/325 and find it superior to Watson Any others agree with this opinion, or have different thoughts? ## I do not like Qualitest at all - it makes me feel like sleeping so I can't take it during the day. Watson NEVER did that to me - I can't find any pharmacies to fill my Rx with Watson any more. So bummed. ## I think Watson has recently changed formula... I used to agree with you that Watson was superior, but within the last six months I've noticed a profound change it. ## I haven't been able to buy Watson in quite a while but I believe you - I feel that every generic I have purchased does NOT work like Watson used to. I think they've changed the formula/strength without telling anyone, that way people have to buy more to get the...

I've been taking Norco 10/325 for quite some time and have noticed a MAJOR difference in quality and effectiveness between manufacturers. To me the Mallinckrodt 367 are the most effective all around. Interpharm/Amneal (same company /have merged) IP110 version comes in second for me. Watson seems to be the worst with noticeably much less effectivepain relief and with me seems to act more like a sedative, knocking me out which sucks when you want to be functional/productive. Qualitest is okay but seems to be similar to the Watsons only with less sedation. Personally if the pharmacy doesn't carry Mallinckrodt or Interpharm/Amneal then I won't fill my prescription there. I know this subject has been discussed here many times before but I figure since the recent apparent formula ...

My wife has been prescribed norco 10/325mg and has tried different mfg's due to different phamacy's brand they carry, she states that only Mallinckro works to stop the pain from two spinal fusions and a broken hip and femor. What pharmacy carries this brand, we got it when we were with kaiser and now we are with scan and cannot seem to obtain this mfg. ???? thanks Jim ## There is actually no way to know which generic that any given pharmacy is carrying, at any given time. It can vary, depending on which manufacturer is offering the cheapest price, when they they need to restock their supply. Have you tried asking the pharmacy if they can order the other in for her? ## WALMART they only carry this brand for it is not popular on the streets ## Is there anyone out there that not on...

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

Norco 539 which pharmacy drug that sells this brand. No generic please. Address Huntington Beach, California. ## Have you tried asking at your local pharmacies to see if they can order it in for you? Some can order it, they just don't always keep it in stock, since it isn't used as frequently as the generic. You should be aware, however, that you will be required to pay whatever the relevant price is for the number of tablets you need to purchase to fill your prescription. ## Guess what guys, you won't find one. Welcome to Fascist America. Nixon's jackboots on the ground, known as the lying 'DEA', has made it near impossible for your pharmacy to get the Norco it needs to fill prescriptions. They are only allowed a small disbursement each month. When that is fille...

I take uo3 hydrocodone 10/325 and it's the best ## Hello, Davey! How are you? Thank you for making such a helpful post. The FDA classifies Norco as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any questions or concerns? ## Which is better the hydrocodone /Acet10/325white pills watson853 or hydrocodone /Acet 10/325 white pills M367. ## I found that the yellow football shaped marked with a v on 1side & 36 01 work best for me ## Hahaha too funny! White Watson 10/325 Norco is ineffective and did not show in my system! How did that happen??? I want my yellow Norco back. Anyone know who carries these nationally? ## Qualitest is the yellow one. The white ones do not work. ## Pharmacies vary on the generics they carry. They may carry one generic this week and not have it again for a few weeks, months or the rest of the year. You have to call right before you go and ask to speak to the Pharmacist. Ask the Pharmacist if they carry a particular generic brand. Be sure and tell the Pharmacist how many tablets your prescription is for and the mg. If you can't get this info over the phone, ask to speak to the Pharmacist Before you turn your prescription in. ## Is the (yellow 3601 V) Better then the White Watson ## @Brad, The overall con...

Need advice! I came to this site with the same issue, over a year ago - I'm one of unlucky people that has extreme sensitivity to "fillers" in most white colored norco 10-325 generic. I FINALLY found the dark yellow Qualitest. It was a VERY PAINFUL 3 month struggle! Now, with currant conditions, can't find this brand anywhere near me! Really need HONEST advice regarding any generic manufacturer that is well tolerated by ONLY PATIENTS WITH MY SIMILAR ISSUES PLZ. The malencrap & aurobindo were the worst. They gave me migraine headaches & sick to stomach. If someone has similar issues AND KNOWS OF A BRAND that is GOOD, please let me know. I'd be grateful. If need be I can have my Dr change the Rx to Vicodin or Vicoprofen. I just need a GOOD manufacturer name to ...

I know that generic Norco is weak. How can I get the real ' name brand' meds? ## If you're paying cash, you can just tell the pharmacy that you want the name brand only. However, if you have insurance, your doctor will need to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary', or whatever the equivalent is in your state. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, not all generics are problematic. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have already asked Costco and the hospital pharmacy for name brand, and they say they don't have the code to order name brand for narcotics. Only the Watson Norcos work for me and now my insurance will not cover Walgreens which is the only pharmacy that carries them. I've tried Amneal Norco, Qualitest Norco, and Mallinckrodt Norco. NONE of them work unless I take 1.5 tablets. I have learned that it is PERFECTLY LEGAL for generic drugs to contain ONLY 80% of the active ingredient, which is clearly why I need 1.5 tablets! (How is this legal?! It is shameful, is what it is!!!!!) Unfortunately, if I take 1.5 per dose, I will run out of them before my next doctor appointment. Please help! Is there ANY generic Norco besides Watson that contains 100% of the active ingredient included in the brand-name Norco? Otherwise I have to pay $95/month IN ADDITION to my very expensive insurance. I will have to quit paying for insurance in...

To all ppl that has side effects of anxiety Xanax with your meds control that. Now the true brand of Watson Norcos are sold for 495 Prices went up and if your insurance don't pay for it they will give u generics or the pharmacy you go like CVS always gives generics ## Hello, Deb! How are you? Benzodiazepines, such as Xanax, can be habit forming, so they may not be an appropriate choice for everyone. And the price on Norco, which is a narcotic analgesic, may also vary from one area to the next, plus your pharmacy is required to provide a generic first if you are insured, that is not an option that is left up to you. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I trying find good pharmacy I don't like CVS and Walgreen

What numbers would I need to look up for Norco 5 mgs? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? I'm sorry, but there are far too many on the market for me to be able to list all the descriptions and markings for you, since Norco is available as both a brand name and generics. Are there any markings on the pill in question? That is what would enable me to check what it contains for you. Can you please post back and clarify? The tablet you mentioned in your subject like is manufactured by Physician Partner and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache.

I have been taking 10/325 norco for many years. A few days ago I received my medication and found it had been replaced with Aurobindo Pharm U03 imprint. They make me feel very ill with a headache nausea and worse they do not take my pain away at all. I also feel very dizzy. How has the FDA approved this Indian company? Has anyone else had a problem with the U03 10/325 hydrocodone. Im frightened to take them but need pain relief. ## Yes, your pharmacy couldn't dispense it to you, if it weren't FDA approved. But there can be fluctuations from one generic medication to another, or when going from the name brand to a generic. That means this one may be slightly lower in the amount of the active ingredients, so it may not work as well for you as the other one did. Usually, the fluctu...
