Hi, I was informed just two days ago from my pharmacist that there is now a generic form of Suboxone film available and that's what Medicaid receiptents will receive opposed to the Brand-name Suboxone film. Ironically, my pharmacy was completely out of the generic therefore, I was able to have my insurance still approve the name brand although, I'm sure that'll change soon. Has anyone been given the generic film yet? If so, did you notice any difference or any negitive effects? ## I have never taken this medication, so I can't speak as to experiences with it. Can anyone else that has taken it, already, please chime in with what you think of it? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzines...

Just called Cosco pharmacy and the price of a 30 tabs is $99.50.You do not have to be a cosco member to use the pharmacy. ## @RIlley, Thanks for sharing the good news! I've always thought that you had to have a membership to even walk in there. Do you find that $99 is a good price for 30 tabs compared to Walgreens, CVS, and other brig chain pharmacies? Generally Costco members get some sort of discount, but I'm curious to know if pharmacy patients reap any additional benefits as well for using their services. ## I'm wanting to warn you to be careful, find out who is manufacturer of the generic, I've been seeing bad things about Costco getting from 3rd world co. Etc.. Ask your pharmacist who's making what they're carrying

Since I've been taking this new generic suboxone 54 375 it make my arms and hands hurt!! I've been taking suboxone for 3 years now, and I've been switched to most everyone that's came out. I was taking the orange with AN 415 on them. It's now been 7 days and everyday it does the same, causes pain in my arms and hands. Then as the suboxone wears off they stop hurting. I know it sounds weird but I swear it's the truth!!! Anyone else having problems with this new generic suboxone 54 375?? Please comment!! ## Hello, Barry! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. It really doesn't make much sense, to be quite honest. If the new tablet was a little lower in the amount of the active ingredient, since there can be fluctuations, I'd at...

I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. Thanks, Grace Patient Services Manager ## the newer generic suboxone pills that are round instead of octagon and dont have the cross on it either, they are definitely suboxones...

I was given a pill and told it was suboxone, it has a big AN on the top and 415 under the letters. There is nothing on the back. Its orange and completely round ## That is correct, this tablet contains 8mgs of Buprenorphine and 2mgs of Naloxone, it is a generic for Suboxone, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction. Learn more Suboxone details here. Since it contains an opiate narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming itself and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is it also taken sublingual? ## Yes, that is the new generic form of suboxone. I just recently got them too. I had a bad experience with them though. They did not work for me like the brand name suboxone. Not...

what is the price on the new generic suboxone sl 8 mg /2 mg per tablet? As I don't have insurance & have to buy them separate or a few at a time. ## This website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. That said, the price will vary from area to area, from pharmacy to pharmacy and according to how many you are buying. In most cases it is cheaper to buy a month's worth, as the individual price goes up if you buy lower amounts. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you asked your local pharmacies for price quotes? ## In regards to people asking about generic Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone). It seems that the tablets cost more than the name brand strips. Even the generics, appear to cost slightly more than the name brand s...

I was on the generic suboxone pill the round orange AN 415 tablet when I went to pick up my remaining partial perscription I saw that the pharmacist handed me a completely different pill it was the new pink/peach 54/375 tablet I immediately questioned this pill wondering if in fact it would be as good! Well I took the first one tonight and I feel they work much better for me I agree with many others on this forum it's all mainly the way the body metabolizes it in my opinion it's like different strokes for different folks! ## Glad to hear that this newer tablet is working well for you. I know it can often times be a gamble when you go to the pharmacy frequently and expect to get the same thing every single time, only to be given what's left in the shuffle. Thankfully getting ...

I am prescribed the 2mg Actavis bupe/nalox tabs. the ones with a moon on one side and 154 on the other. i like these they kick in sooner feel a bit stronger than a 2mg suboxone tablet. also i prefer the taste. What are other peoples expeience with the two generics. im especially curious about the new orange amneal tabs as ive heard mixed reviews. id like opinions on both ## @Jeremy, Although I don't have any personal experience with this drug, I thought it might be helpful to redirect you to a more active discussion thread on Suboxone, while you're waiting in the meantime... Discuss/White-Round-Pill-D-On-One-Side-And-155-Other-244131_p2.htm Seems like at least some of the users in that thread have had personal experience taking the new generics. there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ...

I was taking Suboxone films for over two years and they worked incredibly well for me. This month I was switched over to the generic Suboxone tablets (the orange, round AN 415) because my insurance will no longer pay for the films. I am already having plenty of issues with the new medication. First of all, it takes over 1.5 hours for one tab to dissolve under the tongue. I take two 8/2mg tabs, so it takes over 3 hours a day to take these meds. It doesn't even dissolve completely after this time frame; it just turns into a large, thick pile of paste that sits under my tongue and between my bottom teeth. The taste is nauseating, especially when it is sitting in my mouth for over three hours. Either the dosage is not the same as the films, or these tabs are not absorbing correctly, bec...

They now have generic Suboxone pills, but I do not want the generic pills. Am I going to still be able to purchase the original Suboxone orange octagon shaped "original non generic" pills when I get my prescription filled? My pharmacy has the new generics in, but I do not want generic Suboxone. I want the original ones! ## From what I've read, there have been some complications with the manufacturers who distribute Suboxone and the regular ones may not be available right now. There isn't a lot of pertinent information about this issue that I can find, so you may have to look around for some other pharmacies. I wish I could be of more help! If anyone else knows more about this topic, please share!

Simple question needed here: How much does either generic Suboxone cost without insurance... Brand name is about $400+ a month. Please advise, anyone who had purchases these new generics W/O insurance. Thanks! ## @RealityVeil, It's always going to depend on the quantity of pills you receive, but from what I've read on a number of sites, 30 sublingual tablets of the generic version can cost about $200-300+ cash at places like CVS or RiteAid. I'd also keep in mind that are coupons out there (such as this one: Rx Savings Card) which can save you up to 15-75% off your Rx, potentially cutting the cost in half. You don't need insurance to use these discount cards, so it's pretty much a win win if you're trying to save money. I hope this helps!

I was wondering if anyone could give me the pricing on the new generic suboxone. I have blue cross blue shield and i take the 8mg tablets. I get a script of 30 a month and i pay $110 dollars for 30 of the brand name. I am getting my script filled on thursday and wnated to know if i could save any money by going with the generic. ## Unfortunately, there are no universal cost guidelines for prescription drugs, it can vary from area to area and from pharmacy to pharmacy. Thus, the best thing you can do is to contact your pharmacy and ask them. There have been a few people that said some generics ended up costing them more, while others said it was about the same price, so it's very hard to say. Learn more Suboxone details here. So I have been on Suboxone for years and years. I have had every different generic made and found they all effect me mor or less the same. However, I am having a hard time with these new West-Ward 54 375 generics. This one just doesn’t work the same. I know all generics have the same amount of drug in them but these just real weak and it really pisses me off. ## Actually, they do not all have to have the same amount of the active ingredients. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. They also do not have to measure against other generics, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the new one you are taking was lower in the amount of active ingredients t...

I was given a fairly large white round pill that seems to be coated. On one side is a large g and the other sife has numbers, it broke so i can only make out a 1 at the bottom. I was told they are generic suboxone. Has anyon ever seen these? ## Yes, that is the new generic suboxone. Should be a quarter moon on one side and 155 on the other. ## @Johnny, I actually think you have a pill by the name of "Metformin" because the imprints match the description you provided. It is a (500 mg) white round pill with a large G on one side and on the other side, the imprint MF over 1. Metformin is an oral anti-diabetic drug in the biguanide class used in the treatment of diabetes, type 2, polycystic ovary syndrome, female infertility, and insulin resistance syndrome. Am I going to still be able to purchase the original Suboxone orange octagon shaped "original non generic" pills when I get my prescription filled? My pharmacy has the new generics in, but I do not want generic Suboxone. I want the original ones! ## Hi, Chrissy! I understand your concern, some people do have problems with generic medications. To avoid getting a generic, you need to ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or to not check the substitutions permitted box, to sign on that line, or whatever one of the various methods your state uses. If that's not done, it is normal for your pharmacy to give you a generic, unless your paying cash and request otherwi...

I am in Tennessee, and have been prescribed Suboxone 8/2mg ratio, and was told that the blister packs are the best for people I tried the Amneal orange generic, and it didn't work as well as the white ones I have had in the past. If you know of any pharmacy that carries them please let me know. It said cvs carried them, but I went to five different cvs and they told me "we are not accepting new patients for that drug", so cvs is out and it's the only one I knew that carried the brand manufactured by Actavis Pharmaceuticals, recently acquired by Teva pharmaceuticals. Does Walgreens carry the white Suboxone (Buprenorphine/naloxone), or rite-aid. Any advice is appreciated. Please Help if u know. have no insurance! ## No, such assistance things aren't generally offered for generic medications, except in the case of some that are considered to be life sustaining.
