Hello - I got my prescription refilled for Norco 539's, but I have always had the 853's with Watson on them. Some key differencws are the new ones are very chalky and can be broken easily while the 853's are much harder and break with a snap not a crumble. Also it's easy to scratch the norco 539 off of the face. Please let me know if anyone one has any experience with these and if they could be bad? Thanks ## How soft and crumbly a pill is depends on the inactive ingredients that the manufacturer has chosen to use. The FDA has a list of inactives which are classified under: generally considered as safe, and manufacturers can use whichever they wish from that list. These are ingredients that are considered safe for human consumption and to not have an effect on the effica...

My daughter had been taking Necon 1/50 to control her acne (cysts) caused by cysts on the uterus. When she goes to a lower dosage, the acne cysts return. Recently it has been impossible to fill her prescription with the 1/50 dosage. The only thing the pharmacies carry is the 1/35 which is too light of a dosage. Is there a substitute. Her gynocologist does not know of anything.

I pulled a muscle. On my rightside can I take this med for this? ## Hello, Ms. Kitty! How are you? Nophen contains Acetaminophen (325mgs) and Hydrocodone (5mgs), so it is a narcotic analgesic, which is rather potent for just a muscle sprain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Was it prescribed for this?

Can I take half of one as I have never taken a painkiller before....I had a tooth pulled ## Hi Jorden, I haven't found any medication by the name of "Nophen"... Did you mean to say "Norco"? Norco is available in dosages of 5/325 (hydrodocone + acetaminophen) for moderate to severe pain relief. And to answer your question. This type of pill is ok to break in half, since it's not time-released. I believe there's also a score line dividing the pill for such purposes if I'm not mistaken? Hope this helps!
