I have MS and infuse with Tysabri. I am having severe muscle spasms. I am allergic to Lyrica, Baclofen, Methocarbamol, all prednizone drugs, etc. I take Dilaudid for pain as I also have a frontal-lobe brain tumor. I do go to a pain clinic, but my insurance BC/BS has denied my claim for muscle relaxants. Apparently, my pain clinic cannot prescribe Soma. I suffer from migraines and I am asking what can be prescribed for severe muscle spasms? Thank you. ## Hi Rae, sorry to hear about your pain. There's another thread on this site asking about Diclofenac in conjunction with Tysabri. I checked both the webmd and medscape drug interaction tools and nothing was listed between those 2 drugs. Have you asked your doctor about Diclofenac? I'd be really interested to know what they say. Alt...

is 4211 v the same as soma ## Even though both medications are noted to be a central muscle relaxant used to treat skeletal muscle spasms, 4211 V (Methocarbamol) is not the same as Soma (Carisoprodol). They both have a completely different chemical structure. I suppose if you had to choose between the two medications it would be a difference of side effects, inactive ingredients that you may or may not be allergic to, and personal preference on how each one makes you feel (maybe one is more effective than the other for certain individuals). You can view more information about these drugs in the two links below: Please post back if you have any other general questions or concerns about these drugs.

I took Wellbutrin and Wellbutrin XL for several years. It worked well for depression. I was then switched to the generic, Bupropion Hcl XL. This also worked well. I was then switched to "Buprop 24 XL". After a month or so, I had serious side effects. (Muscle spasms, increased depression, and my hands shook such that it affected my writing and the use of a keyboard.) About 2 months ago I switched back to the brand drug, Wellbutrin, and am almost back to normal. If Buprop 24 XL is identical to Wellbutrin (and to Bupropion), why the side effects?
