yellow and white capsule w/ 505 & 30 mg imprinted on it ## I just got small yellow round tabs of morphine. I was taking three 10mg oxycodones everyday. Now I want to take two tabs of morphine everyday but don't know the milligram. What do you think it could be? ## To the original poster, does it also have the word Avinza on it? If so, it contains 30mgs of Morphine, which is a narcotic analgesic. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How do I know if my 60 mg morphine capsule has been tampered with? ## What gives you reason to suspect they've been tampered with? What are the markings on them? Do they look the same as when you received them from your pharmacy? If it is an extended release Morphine, it should have some markings on it to enable their identification according to U.S. FDA law. The only exception would be for medications done by a compounding pharmacy, which would not be time released. I was just given a new prescription for the Actavis 90mg morphine capsule. Just wondering, does it really last for 24 hours? ## In theory, it should, but it can really vary from person to person, so the only thing you can do is try it and see how long it works for you. I find it ridiculous that sooo many people are messing around with schedule II narcotics yet have no clue to the potency, side effects, drug interactions, etc.. are you people not adults? Oxy is indeed a good 1.5% stronger than morphine and not at all subtle like morphine.. Most doses of Oxy that are between 15-30 mg are IR's not ER (extended release like most morphine)... So, as to being able to say what it looks like, that is almost impossible. Once a med is available to be made and sold as a generic, when the proprietary name brand patent has run out, there are hundreds of pharmaceutical companies that can pick up the manufacture of it. Hello I am trying to find a pain killer I took in the 80's for pain from severe burns. It was Black and Red. It was a capsule. It was an Opiate. It worked really well and did not make me sick!!! green and white capsule 60mg ## The drug is a Hydocodine. It is a very potent pill. I have seen them as low as a 10mg and as high as 90mg. There are for sever pain, and should be taken w/ caution. It might be 50mg Tramadol. Mine have no matkings at all. Tramadol is an opiate, stronger than Codeine, but weaker than Morphine. I take 8 capsules a day, 2 every six hours for a trapped nerve in my hand. On my formulary list, it shows Morphine Sulfate bead, as a category of morphine available. I am currently taking morphine sulfate ER 30 mg., but the cost is $90 for a quantity of 90 pills (1 month supply). The Morphine Sulfate bead is shown with a cost of only $15 per month.
