Hello I just moved to pa 3 yrs ago.i am from nj and take methadone 80 mf a day ! It has done wonders for me and my life well dr retired and gotta find new dr and of corse can't find one! I'm 41 have the same job since I been in pa no record or nothing! I have back prob discs herniated enlarged , sciatica s etc ! I went thru 25 Dr's so far either this excise no new patients or my insurance isn't accepted (I have a big name ins) and the few Dr's that would see me don't do methadone etc! I don't wanna lose all I built for myself of corse w God's help because of this please anybody , somebody is there something else that a Dr would prescribe or I donno just hate withdrawals w all that pain I didn't do nothing to deserve this HELP??????? I need help bad. I called River Oaks 3 times a week since last July and I cannot get a bed, other then that there is no other help in New Orleans. I am tired and I see no point on going on living like in severe pain. This is not a life, this is hell. ## First, I am very sorry that you're suffering, no one should have to feel like this, but suicide is not a good solution. i was geting methadone 10 mg at a clenic then got medacare couldnt go back to clenic now no doctor will give it to me also smoke pot reno nv ## It sounds to me like none of the doctors/clinics you're going to are accepting medicare. I would just suggest visiting your local Human Resource Department; as they should be able to link you up with a directory full of local physicians who are accepting that type of insurance. Otherwise there would be no need for Medicare if no doctors ever accepted it. You could also ask the doctors/clinics that you already visited, for a referral to a new physician. hi....i am a severe pill popper...generally 20-25 percocet a day...i usually buy suboxone from a friend for when my percs run out, but she no longer has them... suboxone makes me feel better actually than the percs...i need to go on suboxone every day and stop playing around with the percs...but i have no health insurance ...i live in mass and my husband was layed off 4 months ago...does anybody know of any options ? i would really appreciate it ## Suboxone is very expensive and only available from certain doctors that are specially trained in its use. I CANNOT FIND A PHARMACY THAT WILL FILL MY SCRIPT ## It seems that there are shortages and policy changes going on in several states and it has caused many people to be unable to get their prescriptions filled. What company makes these ASC 116 and when did they come out on the market? ## January, 2012 ## That date is correct and the manufacturer is Ascend Laboratories, LLC. (NDC 67877-0116) ## What is the difference between this pill and the 10mg methadone white round pill labled 54/142 and scored on the other side, is it just the manufacturer? They want to prescribe it to me for bad pain as insurance won't cover OxyContin or Codeine products anymore. ## Yes. By all means..being only on methadone to stay clean IS going to save your life not to mention being able to function normally..jobs etc.won't have to EVER chase illicit drugs again if you are serious about staying clean. I've been in my clinic 5 years with no problems, then all of a sudden my insurance is cut off and they never told me and I got a lil loud n upset so they kicked me out. Doctor is cutting me off of methadone 10mg, 50mg/day due to regulations... what a surprise! I'm in the state of Kentucky (40977). I am an hour from Lexington and an hour from Knoxville, TN. I get two weeks worth and then I'm on my own, said they'd refer me and send records to whoever, recommended Tennova. need to find doc who can prescribe methadone for chronic pain. Primary care put me on methadone and oxy for breakthrough pain. now cannot prescribe any more. I would like to know the best over the counter med to help with my methadone withdrawals and pain. I have little money no insurance and hurt like never before. I'm determined to be 100% clean. ## I hate to tell you this but nothing will stop your withdrawals from methadone. The only thing that may help you is ibuprofen for the fevers. I went to a physicians assistant who prescribed me gabapentin (which i am alergic to)and clonidine which only lowers your blood pressure. Yes, I am trying to find a way to taper off methadone. I am a recovering addict and I have been in recovery 9 years. In my methadone treatment I was at 70 mg @ day and reduced to my current 30 mg @ day in small amounts over time at the clinic I am in. I have heard that a psychiatrist, under certain conditions could write it. Insurance doesn't cover MMT and my wife and I both go. With one income and 2 kids life is financially impossible. ## Unfortunately, no.
