My aunt just received these pills from pharmacy and she wanted to know all side effects before taking medication. ## AN 627 does not contain Methadone or any other narcotic. It contains 50mgs of Tramadol, a centrally acting analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. She needs to contact the pharmacy and her doctor asap. Hope ?? all works out. ## I was going to say the exact same thing about the 617 and blank side because my brother takes 8 of these a day and they are Tramadol positively.

Can tramadol be taken with methadone? ## Has your doctor advised you to use them both? Both medications can cause depression of the central nervous system, so a doctor has to take the dosages under careful consideration, when prescribing them together. Therefore, they should never be used together, without a doctor's approval and supervision. It also means that this combination might not be appropriate for someone that suffers breathing problems, such as COPD, or a person that has liver problems.

I've read that It should NOT be taken with methadone because it decreases the effectiveness of the methadone. I've been on both for several years and have not had a problem but if you notice your methadone isn't holding you and you are on Tramadol, say something to your doc.
