I am 62 been a diabetic for 7 years. Taking Gemer 1 before breakfast and glycomet 250 in the night after dinner. Now doctor has prescribed Glycomet GP2 morning and Glycomet 500 for night. The quarterly average sugar level was 7.75. 4 years ago and 7.45 2 years ago and it is 7.40 tested 2 weeks ago. If this is a good progress in reduced average why should i be prescribed a more powered medocone. Also i missed info of i should take the two tablets before or after food. So my card. Put me on met25mg once a day and I wad feelinh the lovely initial side effects that you've all described. I exolained this to him and he decided to have me stop taking it. I asked if my doseage shpuld be reduced or if I should just stop taking it. He told me that I'm on such a low dose that I shall be fine to just stop abruptly. The next day I stopped and my heart rate wad resting at 115 all day. By 6pm my bp was spiking at 170/100 and a heart rate of 130. Now I'm 23 not a doctor and meds scare the hell outta me so I didn't know what to do considering it was a Saturday and I had no way of getting in touch with my doctor.
