I've been taking Losaar plus 50mg/12.5mg and now I'm sitting with foot problems and swelling of the ankle. Is this a known side effect? ## The swelling, aka edema, can be a side effect, as reported by the NIH. You may also experience nausea, increased urination, headache, and hypotension. As to the foot problems can you be more specific about them? You comment about them is very vague, so it is hard to say. Are you on any other medications?

Will Losaar plus 50/12,5, one in the morning and one in the evening, have and effect of impotence on me. I am a 63 year old male ## Hello, Willem! How are you? Yes, it can cause that as a side effect in some men that take it. Other typical side effects, as listed by the U.S. FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. If it's creating a problem, you should speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

I noticed one of my pills was missing. I thought it was my losaartan 100 mg so i took another one, not sure if it was my allopurinol or losartan that i took originaly. What should i do or expect if it was 2 losartan? ## @Just wondering, I noticed that you posted this back on 12/10/2016. I'm just wondering (no pun intended) how things have turned out for you since this incident took place? Since Losartan is used to treat hypertension, I'd suspect that you probably would've experienced some degree of low blood pressure for the duration of its terminal half-life (2 hours); after which the half the dose is no longer working... Did you encounter any unusual side effects at that time? Be well~
