Hello guys I started taking lomedia 24 fe three months ago. I switched from minastrin. I switched because I couldn't afford the minastrin and the Dr said lomedia was the same thing. Since switching I have had 3 panic attacks I cry over every little thing I cramp horribly when I am bleeding. It's to the point of just laying in bed crying and not doing anything. I have bled most of this month. I had a reg period for 7 days except it was heavier than usual. Then a couple days after getting off I went to the bathroom and wipped there was a bunch of big blood clots but I hadn't been bleeding. Ever since that day I will randomly bleed heavily as if I'm on my period or sometimes worse and then a few hrs later ill stop bleeding and the cycle has continued for about two weeks now...

Hi guys! I started take Lomedia 24 FE almost a year ago now. At first it was great, no periods at all and really seemed to work with little side effects. Now my life has become very hectic and my consistency with being on time taking it has altered. I have to be honest there are some days I forget and have to take it in the morning instead of my scheduled 10:30 pm time or maybe just forget all together. I know this is horrible. Although now I still get no periods so clearly it is still taking some effect on my body. I am so moody just crying and sad for no reason and so hungry ALL the time. I can't get my bloating to go away either. I'm extremely lethargic, to sleeping being the only thing I want to do. Is this all because not being regular about taking it? Shouldn't my peri...

I was prescribed Lomedia by my gynecologist. But my problem now is that i dont know when to start... I took Loestrin before and I could start any day.. i didnt have to wait for my period to take them. So i dont know know if i can do the same with Lomedia because that is not in the instructions. Also the reason i dont want to wait for my period to start them is because i ha e irregular periods.. sometines every 2 months or more. So if someone knows please help me... id really appreciate it ## Hello, Christy! How are you? Yes, you can start them the same way. You'll just need to take them for a full 7 days, before they are effective at preventing pregnancy. Thus, if you are engaging in intercourse, you should use some backup method of protection for the first 7 days. Is there anything...

My doctor has recently switched me to Lomedia 24 due to cysts on my ovaries. He is hoping that this will shrink the cysts so they don't have to be removed. I did some research on this oral contraceptive and I keep seeing that there is a risk that my breast milk may dry up. My son is 16 months old, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if I lost my milk. I am wondering how great is the risk of losing my milk and what can I do to prevent this? ## Hello, Jenny! How are you? Unfortunately, I can't really find anything on this, however, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else know more on this? Did your doctor have any information on it?

I switched from Sprintec to Lomedia 2 months ago and I have not gotten my period in 2 months. Me and my bf use condoms as well and I haven't missed a pill. Not having any symptoms of pregnancy but I am still worried. ## Hello, Emily! How are you? That is normal for some women taking oral contraceptives, some will skip periods, or not get any. If you're concerned, please speak to your doctor, but it's most likely nothing to worry about. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, irritability, headache, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking lomedia 24 for a few months and I always get my period on the third week of the active pills. I don't understand why I'm still getting periods while I'm taking active pills. Also, Is the entire last week (3whites and 4 brown pills) placebo pills? Because I think since I got my period now, I might as well start a new pack on Sunday and skip the last week since I've already gotten my period, right? Can I just take them pack to pack (first 21 pills then start a new pack) and never get a period? Because I would love thattttt! I just really need advice. ## Hello, Tawanda! How are you? Irregular bleeding can be a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptom...

I am one of the customers unhappy with the discontinuation of Loestrin 24 Fe. I saw so many negative reviews with those who switched to Minastrin that I refused to take it despite what my nurse was trying to say. I researched and knew a generic was coming. I have waited since October of last year for Lomedia and picked up my prescription and pills 3 weeks ago. I still haven't taken them because I'd like to know about the experience on these pills. Has anyone taken Lomedia? Please share your experience so we can all be informed. ## Hello, Kimmie! How are you? From what I can find, there is no difference better the Lomedia and LoEstrin FE, the active ingredients and the dosages are the same. The FDA has approved it as a generic equivalent, so you shouldn't have any problems wi...

I've been on lomedia since feb. Haven't been able to lose the 12 lbs I gained since starting it ( mind you I work out 4-5 days a week) I get about 4-5 headaches a week, I get nauseous all the time and sometimes morning sickness bc I take it at night. I've been extremely lethargic and all I want to do is sleep. I barely get my period. I'm switching to lo loestrin. This pill does not work for me.... it also keep you bloated most of the time. ## Hello, CC! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problems you had. Unfortunately, medications can be like that. What works well for someone else may not work well for you and vice-versa. Have you started the other one, yet? If so, how is it working for you?

I have been taking Lomedia 24fe for 6 months, have never missed a pill and take at same time every day. I always had a light period before taking the pill and had spotting when taking the brown pills for the first 4 months but have not had a period the past two months. Is it normal to stop having a period while taking Lomedia 24fe? Pregancy tests are negative. ## I've also been exactly on lomedia for 6 months. This month I didn't get a period, haven't missed a pill at all. I'll be taking a pregnancy test, though I have no signs of pregnancy. It's kind of freaking me out too! ## Hello, Annabelle and Suzanne! How are both of you ladies? Yes, some women don't have periods, when taking oral contraceptives. If you're worried, please consult your respective doctors...

I've been on lomedia 24 fe for 4 months now,I just finished the first week of my white pills in my 4th pill pack. I had my period 10 days ago for one and a half days while I was on the second day of the brown pills. The past couple of days my breasts have been really sore. Is this a normal effect of the birth control? I highly doubt its a pregnancy thing because I take my pills at 11:30 pm every night,I never have missed a pill. Just a wondering if it's normal for me to have sore breasts even though I've been on this pill for a good 3 months and 7 days. Oh and I also have irregular bleeding from time to time. Advice?? ## Hello, Kat234! How are you? I'm sorry about the issue that you're having. But yes, those are listed as possible side effects of oral contraceptives ...

I just started Lomedia, and my boyfriend & I had intercourse on the night of the 6th day. It was unprotected and he ejaculated inside me, and now I'm worried about the protection of Lomedia. I took my 7th pill today. Should I be ok, and protected from pregnancy?

I had sex yesterday. My partner never finished in me so we did use the withdrawal method. I'm on lo media 24 fe birth control an I completed my first pill pack and just started my second pill pack a couple days ago. Each pack has 28 pills. 24 active hormonal pills and 4 placebo pills. I haven't had a period this month but my doctor said that's normal that I may have an irregular or no period the first couple of months, being as I just completed my first pack. I took my 3rd pill in the second pack yesterday (Friday) an I take my 4th pill today (Saturday). Should I be protected against pregnancy?? Since I've been on the pill for 31 days? should i be as protected since i just started my second pill pack. im new to all of this so some reassuring answers would be great.
