Ketorolac is used to relieve moderately severe pain, usually pain that occurs after an operation or other painful procedure. It belongs to the group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ketorolac is not a narcotic and is not habit-forming. I was given this drug in Mexico after a serious accident. What is the difference in this drug and ordinary Tramadol? My physician in the states has prescribed regular Tramadol for pain of arthritis and fibromyalgia. ## The medication from Mexico contained both Ketorolac and Tramadol. Ketorolac is a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Tramadol is a relatively mild opiate narcotic that is just used to treat pain.
