side effects ## Keppra Info Click Here ## My sister is 65 and has had severe migraines for years 40 plus. She has been getting shots of Stadol and Demoral. Neither is working now. She saw a neurologist last week and he put her on 500 mg of Levetiraceta. It is making her really sick to her stomach. She call the Dr. Office and told them but the nurse only replied that she should eat a saltine but keep taking them. She is supposed to go on a higher dosage Sept 6. Can you tell me the side effects other than what they have on the website? Also, that Neurosurgeon is supposed to give her an Optical Block shot. Can you tell me about that also and what the dangers aare.

What is the effective dosage for Keppra? ## Anxiety & depression with Keppra ## Keppra comes in 250 & 500 mg tablets, as well as 500 mg by injection. Can anyone tell me how to get off of Keppra? I am only on 250mg 2x daily and I want off. ## Your best bet is to talk to your doctor so you can stop under medical supervision. ## I agree, I stopped cold turkey after only two days and thought my topamax would be enough I paid the price and was lucky to be alive.... ## I started off at 500 mg 2 times a day, then down to 500 mg a day, and now down to 250 mg..I seem to have some panic atacks. My heart beats fast, i get nauseaus and I have to lie down. Is this a side effect of tapering down? ## I don't believe the slow reduction in Keppra is a problem but the topomax is. I have used a number of antiseizure drugs in my years. I am presently on Keppra and have it down to 750 mg a day which works for me. just for the record many people on hi...

Rose colored tablet with SLC 222 on one side & blank on the other, claimed to be Levetiracetam 500 mg generic for Keppra. The bottle at the pharmacy had a big black X written on the label and a picture of a yellow tablet (which is what I've been taking). Is this really Levetiracetam? Mfg: Solco Heal? ## Yes, Solco Healthcare list this tablet as containing 500mgs of Levetiracetam. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood swings, personality change and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been taking Keppra (Levetiracetam) with an imprint of "slc 222" for a year now. Mood swings were hell in the beginning, but are fine now. I recommend not taking this when dealing with depression because it has made mine...

round white has M at top of tablet and 613 at bottom. This doesn't look like any keppra ive taken before and im scared to ## Where did you obtain this from? Was it from a U.S. based pharmacy, another country, etc? Reason I ask is because the imprint M 613 is not coming up under any U.S. prescription meds. ## M 613 is Mylan Pharmaceuticals levetiracetam (generic version of Keppra), 250 mg. Earlier this week, I received my first generic refill of the 500 mg version (oblong white, M 615), and since it wasn't on their web page, I double-checked by calling them. The 750 mg dose is M 617. ## You DO NOT want to take that medicine. It is made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. It was sent to me by a pharmacist without approval from me or my MD. I had a toxic reaction to this medicine. ## What ki...

I'm on 500 mg of keppra a day. I have never had an actual seizure but was prescribed it as I used to get really hot and nauseous, and feel faint. I have been on this for 3yrs. Can I stop taking it? ## Hello, Andrea! How are you? Actually, those could have been seizures. When you experience such symptoms, it could be due to focal point seizures, as explained by the NIH. Thus. I'd not recommend stopping the medication, without your doctor's approval. The relevant question is, have you experienced these symptoms, since you've been taking the Keppra? If not, then you have your answer that they were focal point seizures. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain.

What is the maximum dosage? I am having partial seizures and currently taking 1500 mg. The seizures are not as severe or as frequent , but I am still having symptoms ? ## Hello, Hoyt! How are you? The maximum daily dosage of Levetiracetam, the generic for Keppra, can go up to 3,000mgs. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood swings and drowsiness. However, you might do better switching to a different medication, so you should check in with your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Dr put me on baclofen for rls and I was also prescribed 600 mg ibuprofen for pain in the hospital. I had fluid around my heart. I also have epilepsy and take lamictal 100 mg twice daily and onfi 60 mg day. Also keppra 500 mg twice daily. Can I get addicted to taking baclofen and ibuprofen with my other medication? Can you take ibuprofen with flexeril? I am so exhausted all the time and cannot sleep at night. ## What was the condition that caused fluid around your heart? Most nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Ibuprofen, are contraindicated in such cases, because they may cause fluid retention as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.

My bro had a tumor removed in 2009. He was prescribed Keppra. 500 mg bid prophalactily to prevent seizure. Fast forward to august of this year 2014 When after a brain scan. A tumor showed he was treated with radiation. Which made him very sick.myaremts came to fl to take care of him.last week someone noticed that his Keppra bottle said 1000 bid. My brother being sick and unaware increased the doss all at once since then his mobility has gone down and has become urinary incontinent. Went from cane to walker to unable to go. Could this be from the sudden increase of Keppra. His dose was in fact doubled all at once. Since I discovered this in speaking with him he said it was always 500 bid and his me over the years said if it works stay with it. If this is the problem how we get him back d...

I take a series of medications like Keppra 1000mg, metformin 500mg and ibuprofen 800, but along with those the only new things i started taking are Bactrim DS 800/160 mg, clindamycin 300mg and hydrocortisone cream USP 1%... Can any of these cause a false positive?
